Welcome back greentiger & Mrs R - good to see you again. Hope you're feeling better now Mrs R.
Well done Maman on not giving in to the cheese and choc! I'm sure the jacket was much nicer!
Didn't really feel full up yesterday but still didn't give in to rubbish (not that there's much left now that DH has finally decided he's going to try to lose some weight and do SW properly)!
Not much SW friendly food in either at the moment so need to go shopping this morning once I've got the washing done and on the line.
Having an EE day today:
B - bacon, egg & mushrooms
L - tuna mayo & cucumber sandwich (HEB + 0.5); fruit of some sort (which I'll be buying when I go shopping!)
D - SW KFC (3), corn on the cob, 50g coleslaw (1.5)
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - as above: total of 5; may also have a pink n white or a lolly if I feel peckish later. Need to add another 2 syns for bread as used uncut loaf and didn't cut it straight and ended up at 80g rather 60g! So rather than a proper sandwich I just cut it in half and tuna mayo & cucumber on each half as an open sandwich!

Maman - your will power is so much stronger than I... because of the unexpected loss, I celebrated with a little pot of too many syns and the wine and cheese too.
That better not become a habit.
Rummer - Those little snacky things that OH likes to have in the house. Put them in a cracker tin, and bury them at the back of the cupboard. - Make them more hassle to get to than the fruit/free food in the fridge. Thats what I do with the kids stuff. You forget their there after a while.
Stay focused folks, one bad day doesn't ruin the week.0 -
Greentiger - the post about Nessie and your boys made me smile!
Fay - look after yourself
Mrs Ryan - Harness an elephant with the shapewear also made me smile
Went home last night, cried and then fell into a box of Jaffa Cakes :rotfl:
So didn't go anywhere near the gym at all Shala. Good luck with making a dent - good choice though I love an Indian that's exactly what I would have went for.
Trying to reign it in now myself would be happy with one off on Saturday0 -
Morning,
not such an amazing weekend but much better than the last two; as we start needing less and less for wonder bairn I can take more stuff that doesn't need fridging/heating/hot water etc. The plug in cool box make such a racket that I'm not inclined to use it and I can't think of another way of keeping things cold - obviously there's ice blocks but then we'd have to leave the food without them over night whilst the hotel froze them/take a second set so we could over lap them and then have to remember them when checking out! eugh I'd much rather take some wholemeal rolls/wraps, lettuce, tomatoes, sandwich fillings (ham is easiest) and then just some fruit/low syn snacks but there is literally no room in the car once all the rugby stuff, the pushchair and the holdall is in
today:
breakfast: no time so have had a sweet clem
mid morning: I have 2 mini raspberry ruffles to enjoy: 2.5 each = 5syn
lunch: homemade leek and potato soup
tea: pork steaks, mash, peas and sweetcorn and probably a little gravy
sending dad to the market for me today and I need to call to morrisons but lots of driving for work today************************************

Lush - you can just use the electric cool box like an ordinary one - it doesn't have to be plugged in.
What I used to do when we went camping (for the same reason - the noise) was to freeze a couple of 2 litre bottles of water and use them instead of ice packs. As long as you don't open the cool box too frequently they'll usually keep your food cool for the weekend; and, of course, you can drink some of the cold water as it defrosts!

Hi, hope everyone is getting to enjoy a bit of sunshine. We're currently stuck in an air-conditioned office with our heaters on :snow_laug:rotfl: brrrr....
Hugs fay and MrsR.. xx
"one bad day doesn't ruin the week" Swiper, i was just sitting here giving myself a kick up the bum so this is a good saying to remember, along with one bad meal doesn't run the day!!
I've worked out I have 21 weeks to my holiday, so i better lose at least 21lbs!!!easier said than done for me, i know..
So another day on track so far..
B - banana, yogurt, granola (3)
L - frittata/quiche thing (hea) salad, strawberries
T - leeky mac cheese, meatballs, peppers, onions (4ish for sauce)
S - crisps (4) milk (2)
I'm quite enjoying my salads with my lunch at the moment - i have taught myself to like peppers so i've been adding them.. need to get used to some other stuff i think - radishes i don't mind so maybe i'll buy some of them
My salads are boring though - just lettuce, onion and peppers, sometimes beetroot if i'm home. I can't do tomatoes or cucumber, the texture is just wrong _pale_ :rotfl:
anyway i'll stop waffling and stare at the sun through the window..Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Having looked at my diary, the only WI I can sensibly get to this week is tonight. I'm planning weigh and go at a local group I've never been to before but I need to get it behind me. I'll go before dinner but not hopeful that it'll be anything but a gain. If I'm in target range I can live with it. I've got a few off plan meals coming up (tomorrow and Saturday) but otherwise the next week I should be able to take myself in hand. It can be a faff staying at target but I know it's worth it!!:D
Looked at your menu for today lush, any chance your dad could get you some Speed veg to go with your dinner?
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: smoked ham, fried veg (1 potato but all Speed otherwise), pickled cornichons and pepperssavoury mince, new potatoes, cauli and broccoli
Syns: squirt of HP sauce0 -
Oh no its back!!!!0

Thanks youI hadn't thought of using a big 2lt bottle as an ice pack - you can tell I'm not that switched on at the moment! My thought was if I did use our smaller ice blocks and have to keep swapping them I'd forget and worry about the food etc. Ooh I might treat myself to a new family sized cool bag or box and do that then
Usually borrow either bf's mums (won't fit in the car with all the rugby junk) or my parents (much much smaller) but I may buy one of the bag style ones as then it will collapse down when not in use
I don't actually need to keep much chilled I don't think (possible list further down)

thanks maman; I was thinking I may add some leeks and sprouts but the weather has come out so unbelievably nice here I may just cut my pork chop up and have it with a bowl of salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pepper)
Dad did me a sandwich (on one of my pre-weighed rolls - he's a good egg) ready for when I nipped home in between driving too and from different offices which was much appreciated after missing brekkie! and that's my HeB used
So glad it's pay day come Friday! I 'owe' myself some money seeing as I forgot I had the hotel room to pay for for the weekend just gone. Going to pay myself some money back (in to savings) and treat myself to a new cool bag then stock up on fruit and things to take for the Nationals.
I'm thinking:
mix of fruit (green grapes, sweet clems, bananas possibly some strawberries if I'm feeling fancy)
lettuce, 1/2 cucumber, few tomatoes, sliced pepper
pack of ham
some sliced cheese
NAS squash
wraps or bread rolls (will take a few slices of white bread for wonder bairn)
sliced malt loaf (good for bf in between games or in recovery/rest periods)
few packs of crisps (bf and wonder bairn)
rice cakes (wonder bairn)
Jaffa cakes (bench food for bf)
250ml milk (for wonder bairn - will buy a small bottle each day I think for her breakfast)
plus various other snacks that wonder bairn has through the day
breakfast isn't included at the hotel but I think we will probably call somewhere for some or just take some cereal bars for us and just sort wonder bairn (cereal or porridge). evening meals (4) will all be 'out' somewhere round the docklands where we are staying. I'll make as good a choice as possible there)
all in all its 4 days not entirely on plan but trying; and always on the move too - we're hoping wonder bairn will be walking more by then so I can keep marching her round too************************************
