Hi all, missed group tonight - can I record a STS? I have lost a couple of pounds according to my scales but want to stick with the SW ones for the record.

Hope this isn't the last week of the challenge!

    Hello again, everyone.

I have been eavesdropping over the last few weeks.
Hiya, to all the new folk, it’s nice to meet you.
Well done to those of you who are losing it! Commiserations if you’re struggling a bit at the moment.
I see that some of you are having a tough time - my thoughts are with you.

Well the wedding was great and it was a glorious day – and the dress was absolutely fine. I felt great in it, too, and that’s what counts.
We also had a lovely holiday in the Cairngorms with our family. The weather was kind to us - although one day we did take the funicular to the top of Cairngorm where the temp was -2˚, with the wind chill factor making it -11˚! Brrrrrrrrr! But the views were stunning, well worth it.

Oh, and on Saturday I was at Hampden to watch the mighty Bairns made it to the final of the Scottish Cup, so another happy time.

I didn’t put on as much weight as expected over the few weeks I’ve been awol, just 3 lbs, but it was enough to put me back on the wrong side of that pesky stone wall.  I’m now ready to get back with the programme, to coin a phrase.

    Today’s menu
Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs with 1 thin slice Scottish plain bread (4 syns? – put me right anyone)
Snack: fortune cookie left over from Saturday’s celebratory take away (see above) – any idea of syns?
    Lunch: fridge soup
Dinner: roast pork, roast potatoes (used 1 tblsp oil for 3 portions – 2 syns?), gravy from granules (1 syn?), carrots, white sprouting broccoli

That’s about 10 syns for today, For supper I will have toasted cheese made with 1 slice Allinson’s wholemeal bread (hexb), hexa cheese, sliced tomatoes and basil.

    Tomorrow is supposed to be:
Breakfast: ½ grapefruit, bacon & eggs etc
Lunch: hexb wholemeal sandwich (also counting 4 syns because I’ll use 2 slices Allinson’s wholemeal bread from 800g loaf) spread with hexa laughing cow light and filled with ham, tomatoes & salad; Clementine
Dinner: cottage pie, spring greens, carrots & peas
Snacks (choose from): ff nat yogurt & strawberries/2 garibaldi biscs (4 syns)/2 ginger snaps (5 syns)/1 chocolate digestive (4 syns)

It’s good to be back here - here’s hoping I get back on track quickly.

    Evening all
Been to WI tonight as it was my fourth week and I'm only going every four weeks now.
I've been so so unwell- I was basically bedbound for two weeks and I spent most of yesterday in bed in pain and exhausted. I have the odd good day- I was away at the weekend which I think wiped me out.
I was pleasantly surprised with the 2lb loss :) I haven't been on plan as I basically didn't eat for two weeks and lost a lot of weight. However since stopping all my meds altogether I seem to be feeling brighter (although lack of pain relief is a bit of a nightmare) and my appetite has returned. But given the fact I lost about half a stone when I was ill 2lbs is perfectly fine :)
It's my awards night on Saturday. Just seen the menu today and needless to say it's not SW friendly :rotfl: I have however enough shapewear to harness an elephant so I think I should be ok :D
    Hope you're all ok xxx

Sadly, didn't go up so far this time. A couple of years ago we had a cottage at Dores on the southern shore of Loch Ness. The boys (then 4) were convinced they saw Nessie - and they said the fact that she'd come on shore and knocked over some trees with her tail was proof. So Nessie is amphibious - who'd a thunk it! They still believe this to be true. One still regrets that he didn't get the chance to ride on her back as she flew (???) across the loch - he claims to have seen her when he woke up one night. I love kids' imaginations!
