Didn't get chance ot post Saturday ....
I didn't go to slimming world last week as I'd just been on holiday and was a bit busy (also hadn't been particularly good that week). Weighed in Saturday and 2.5lb loss hoorray! Finally broken my spell of staying the same and 0.5lb losses.
Well done selement :TShala, really pleased about your news! Must be such a relief to you hope you enjoyed your pic a mix. You def deserved it! No still no word from the surgeon – no surprise really!
Currently waiting for the Drs to ring me back as this kidney infection is still annoying me.
I've changed to Saturday weigh in. Sorry to be a pain!! I don't have my own scales and will always be able to access the same ones on Saturday! Anyway Plus 5
That's what I lost when I was really ill so not too bothered and after the eating of last weekend etc I'm glad it wasn't anymore. I'm no worse off. Hopefully I'll get a good run now and get rid of this fast.
I'm craving bread today lots of bread! If I knew how to control emotional eating I'd tell you but I definitely don't !
Sorry to hear that pesky infection is hanging around lantanna.A funny old weekend which ties in with the emotional eating.
I went to visit a good friend in hosp Sat.
Went in to a clothes shop in hosp(!!) & they had a full length mirror, my legs in my leggings were not a pretty sight. So thought must get back on track blah blah.
Went to visit said friend & she had been told a very short & sad prognosis just minutes before I got there. Shellshocked not even close.
So I have veered since then between feeling sick, hardly eating & eating crap.
Though of course it is so NOT about ME.
Ho hum.
Hugs beanie xx

Fab loss swipernoswiping :TOh its not a kidney infection now - the sample didn't grow anything whatever that means. Nice of them to tell me I was taking those anti biotics for nothing. Only reason I find out is because I ring up because I'm still in pain.
Now they think its Endometriosis. I give up I actually do.
Sorry about your friend Beanie I really am, it just seems to be bad news all round at the minute. I know someone at 34 who has just brought his wedding forward as he found out he has lung cancer and things aren't very optimistic.
Life sucks at times it really does.
just catching up with posts as i go along lantanna. Infection/endrometriosis - not much difference. Apparently that was what I has (endro) when I was having major problems bit the first time they used the word was after I had hysterectomy  Hope they sort thngs for you soon as I know it will leave you feeling pretty miserable. xxSPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -
Cheers BEG - yes miserable is the word without doubt. I will just battle on.
I'm going to the gym tonight whether I like it or not, I need the serotonin. I am on a mission to go 5 times this week.0 -
Hugs to those in need and high fives to those doing well.
Thank you for the advice on the emotional eating, it is always good to hear how others cope. One of the problems is that our family insist on giving us lots of treat foods even though I have continually asked them not to. I would happily give them away however my OH has balanced eating habits and likes to have a selection of treats in the house so there is always temptation in the cupboards
Today I have managed to stick to plan after failed attempts over the weekend. So far I have had:
B: Cheese and salad sandwich with an apple HEX A and B
L: Lemon and corriander chicken with salad and some fruitPulled pork, rice and loads of roasted veg
Snacks - Vegetable and lentil soup and fruit
Syns - Tsp mayo on the sandwich and rest are to be decided.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hiya, my flipping menu disappeared AGAIN
Here is my Tuesday menu plan.....Once more.
Breakfast. All bran flakes A/B mixed berries.
Lunch. Mushroom soup, half an English muffin ??? 6 Syns ???
Dinner. Omelette and new-potatoes garden peas, pickled cauliflower.
Supper. 2 ryvita 3 Syns 2 Alpen light bars B clementine.
A milk A milk B cereal B Alpen light bars.
9 Syns or more ??
Water, NAS vimto, Lemon squeezed into hot water.
Does anyone know the syn value for an Asda small custard Thanks.0 -

Good luck! or of course you could always contact your consultant and book a week's holiday - would give you another few weeks grace!
Having said that, it's probably worth going just to see what the actual damage is!

Would it help if you distance yourself from them - so you make sure you know in your head they're the family treats and they're not for you?
You could do it visually by putting them in a box and labelling it.. I think i'd feel bad for stealing OH's treats then, rather than think they were ok for me to have.. (but I might be a bit weird)Yes Shala, I''ve to go in for a chat after seeing what it does for a bit. No doubt another queue to joinpahhh... well you look after yourself and don't overdo it at the gym, you don't want muscle strain as well, a nice sauna/steam room would be best!;)
Well I've got through the day ok, sneaky mid week weigh in shows a 3lb gain  bloody pic n mix and indian takeaway and chips! :rotfl: so I have till Thursday to make a dent in the damage.
OH is off out to practice so I might have a treat and make a banana split with mandarin oranges, banana, squirty cream and sprinkles... no icecreamso should only be a few syns...

Hi all
Beanie - so sorry to hear about your friend. When someone is given a terminal prognosis, the bereavement process starts for those closest to them, so while you need to think about your friend you also need to recognise your own suffering and impending loss. We're all here for you so feel free to off load whenever you need to. (((Hugs)))
Lantana - that's an interesting change of diagnosis! Hope you get sorted out with treatment for it soon.
Well done everyone that's reported a loss, you're all doing really well :T
If you're struggling, keep going, it will work.
Have a lovely evening, back tomorrow.
