Hey all,
Well done to the losers, good luck to those waiting for WI and congrats on the relieving news Shala, brighter things ahead now!
I took the plunge and went to my first group session on Thursday, I really enjoyed it and I think that instead of trying on my own, group is the best way forward for now, fingers crossed! :j
The week has been really good until yesterday, went to a friends' for her birthday drinks so lost count of syns of alcohol and ate a sneaky piece of garlic bread from the group takeaway. Someone fell ill during the evening (unrelated to the alcohol!) so we were up until half 6 trying to sort that out. Today therefore has also been pants so far as OH was being nice got me a Subway that I felt bad rejecting and I had to eat some toast due to lack of sleep sick feeling. Soup I think it is for dinner, dont feel up to a big meal but dont have any salad left before my next shop.
Tomorrow is a new day!
Meal plan:
B - Boiled Egg & Soldiers (HeB)
L - HM Butternut Squash Soup
D - Noodles, broccoli, carrots and any other veg I can whip up with bbq chicken (3 syns)
Snacks - Apples, oranges and Activia 0% Peach (The site says free but some others say 0.5 syns, does anyone know?)
Starting of Extra Easy SP from Monday to try to make up for the bad patch, will post my meal plans to make sure im on the straight and narrowStarted SW 16/04/15 - 4lb off so far!0 -
Had huge post and laptop has thrown a wobbly. DS will be popping in tomorrow morning for a few mins on his way out with gf so he may be able to diagnose problem. i know how a few mins turns into few hrs where technology is corcerned and I dont want to spoil their day out. Will try to keep up to date on phone or ipod but I find I have difficulty posting on these.
Shala - you think that u might be turning into me - I wouldnt wish 2 of me on the world :rotfl:
Had lovely rare sirloin tonight with mushrooms carrots broccoli and new potatoes. It was very nice but the new potatoes (from lidl today) were strange - they were very sweet. Will be chucking he rest.
Only had 2 antibiotics so far and feeling much better already. Hope the remaining 4 kick infection into touch.
Will catch up when I can.

Just popping in to report a -0.5lb for this week as I think I forgot to post it on Tuesday.
Have missed a few days so I've a bit of catching up to do. Hope everyone is keeping well & massive hugs to all who could do with one0 -
Just flying in with this weeks weigh-in (great result again)
WI –1.1 lbs please Shala & team, thanks for charting everyone.SW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0 -
1 lb off and just 1 more pound to go. Then I am on my next stone
Yippee ! It has been a slow process and I suppose it will take me another 2 or 3 years to get to 9 stone. My final goal is 8 stone 4lb which I should be for my height of 5 ft. I used to be 5ft1 but I have shrunk. The wrong way !
I hope everyone else has lost or even sts big hugs to you all.
Maman, perhaps it's my sprigs of cauliflower that has done it lol. I have to admit your encouragement has done wonders plus the fact you keep a smile on my face or even a laugh with your little comments THANK you x0 -

So pleased for all of you.:T:T:T I'm so delighted with my own weightloss I want everyone to get that feeling!!
Glad you found joining a group quite painless sympatea. You'll soon get used to the plan but posting menus is a great idea.
I wore a very clingy pencil skirt last night which wasn't a good idea for an off plan meal, felt much thinner going out than coming home:rotfl:. So today back on it with a vengeance. I've got a few things on later in the week so might look out a group for Tuesday. I'm fortunate living in a big city as there are groups on most days.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: frittata and beetrootlamb shanks on bed of parsnip, carrot & leek with SW roast potatoes, cauli and broccoli
Syns: squirt of syrup, weekend wine.;)0 -
Hello Peterson,
Maybe you can give some advice about "Under Sink Water Filters", not osmosis though, and not whole house
I have seen seen some systems with 2 filters, these must surely be better than the one filter systems?
Also how does one accurately estimate the literage used by the filter? Obviously a 1 person household is going to have a different usage to a 6 family household, but the manufacturers say change the filter after 3/6 months or 1 year, this is clearly wrong, don't you think?
I would prefer some sort of meter on the filter to accurately determine when the system needs changing.
Would appreciate any advice.
Not sure what this (or previous post) has to do with slimming world. Maybe find the right thread for this? Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Brilliant losses coming in :T:T
Glad you enjoyed class sympatea, I think it works well for that extra level of support
Still didn't manage to get back on plan yesterday.. OH came home late so we ended up with fish and chipsit wasn't that nice... and I spent the rest of the evening in the little girls room
lesson learned..
I've put the dinner on already this morning so no straying from the path!! I'm doing a version of this
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/pulled-firecracker-brisket
It smells amazing so far! I added liquid smoke and left out the treacle and some sugar to lessen the syns so by my reckoning it's only about 1.5 per serving. I've kind of gone off mega-sweet things so i'll add a bit of sweetener into the sauce later if it needs it.
I had the chicken breasts that I was supposed to use last night left over so I've chucked them into cook too, so they'll have the sauce on them  and we can have them for tea tomorrow..
So menu for the day
B - laziness and delicate tummy made for no breakfast
L - pizza toasts rammed with peppers and onion (heb/hea)
T - brisket (1.5), corn, jacket pot, salad, pickles
S - milk (2) crisps(3.5) strawberries, yogurt
Have a good day xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
I went to group and it was better than expected, the consultant was lovely and very motivating and I picked up lots of hints and tips from the other members who had achieved amazing weight losses.
To keep me motivated I signed up to a block of classes so I will need to attend weekly as I refuse to have paid for nothing
Yesterday OH and I had a child free evening and had a lovely and indulgent evening out so I am back on track today and I have told my family that I am not to be swayed from the path and that I will be keeping to my syns. We did however do loads of walking yesterday and I am making it part of my day so aiming to get my body magic bronze in a few weeks.
Today I am going to have:
B - Cheese omelette on a bed of spinach, rocket and tomatoes
L - Lemon and corriander chicken with salad
D - Turkey stir fry with rice
Snacks - Melon and various other fruits
Syns - Possibly and ice cream the Solero Exotics one yesterday was delicious and 5 1/2 syns so maybe one of them.
Also planning a long walk to the shops today and a trip to the park. I am currently trying to meal plan for the week and there are so many things to think about. A lot of our usual fall back meals are not going to work now so I am hunting out quick and easy alternatives that all the family will eat.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Slightly peed off today, I have been recording my weight on my iPad for well over a year and the recent update sent it to the cloud or wiped it as couldn't find it on cloud .
Shala can you put me down for STS please and I'll start again recording my weight on BMI tracker app and MFP just to make sure I don't lose it again.
On the clean jeans front, mine felt quite loose, especially round the waist and even the legs felt looser. So maybe lost a bit of something, inches if not actual weight.
Well done to all losers and big hugs to those in need :A.
Glad everything turned out ok Shala, such a worry.
Hope all poorlies are on the mend now.
