Got up this morning and battery was on 43%
Had a look at battery usage
    Usage 11 minutes
    Standby 9 hours 8 minutes
I never touched the phone all night.

I'd say your battery is shot then. My iPhone 5 (more or less the same handset as the 5c) if fully charged in the evening will lose about 1% by morning.

    That's what i thought.
So much for it passing the Test in store. I will have to send it off for a battery replacement after easter.

They should be able to do it instore while you wait. It might even be worth going back to the Genius Bar and asking to see the manager and then making a complaint (in a nice, friendly way) about how upset you are that you were fobbed off at your last appointment and how disappointed you are with Apple. You might find some sort of goodwill gesture offered ;).

The store is about 2.5 hours away.
So the postal service will be the easiest way now.

That's a pity, instore service is easier to get goodwill or manager discretion repairs/replacements done.

I went on live chat last night and the agent arranged a call back for this afternoon.
The agent this afternoon reckons it's a software issue and thinks it could be a app that i have installed. I explained that i had done a restore through iTunes and that i then set the phone up as new, And that i didn't put any apps on that night and it still lost power overnight.
As i don't live near a Apple store he has arranged a phone exchange for me.And if the engineers fix my phone they will ring and arrange to swap the handsets over again.
The cost for the exchange is £29 which is better than what i thought i was gonna be charged.

That's a pretty good outcome, well done.

Received my replacement phone yesterday afternoon. I restored all my apps etc and had it fully charged at when i went to bed. Got up this morning and the phone was still on 100% that was after 9 hours.
I still have 80% left and that's after 1 hour 53 minutes usage and 16 hours 22 minutes standby.
It's nice to have a phone that i don't have to keep charging.
