Its quite the norm for people on these parking forums to accuse companies of law breaking. You can jump up and down all we like, but apart from one or two very small cases (which you could get in an industry) there is no law breaking.

No i will not name my employer as i am sure many other forum people wont name who they work for.

Contract law quite clearly states that a PPC ( or any other company for that matter ) can ONLY claim for it's loses if an individual breaks a contract. So every time a PPC makes a claim of say £100 it IS breaking the law - especially taking into account that the loss ( if there is any ) is actually the landowners or the retailers NOT the PPC's.

More than 2 million fake fines issued every year. Far more damaging in scale than drugs are.

I think The Deep has already pointed out how facile this argument is in his post above, where he conveniently sums up stance on the entire working for a PPC v not working issue.

And I say in this instance he's wrong, although he's often right about things. You rarely are, which perhaps explains why you invariably seem to look for other posters upon whose coat-tails you can hang.

I think you know the answer to that question

    Work calls. Bye for now.

    No we don't actually.

So lets take two examples near myself ( and as it happens C-M ) :

Sainsburys - free car park near the station. They 'employ' a PPC for the disabled spots but the rest is free for anyone - no restrictions no PPC. Does anyone abuse the car park ? Well there are ALWAYS spaces.

Aldi - 1 minute walk from the Sainsburys and employ Parking Eye **spit**. Once again, rarely have I had a problem parking.

So what service do Parking Eye provide ? None.

Two blocks of flats next to each other and once again next to ( a different ) station. One employes CPM ( :rotfl:and what a bunch of f**kw1ts they are ) and the other the parking is entirely 'unregulated'. Strangely no problem finding parking spaces at either.

So what service does CPM provide ? Oh, over 90% of the fake CPM tickets have been issued to residents so the imbecile that issues the tickets can't even get that right he's so bl00dy stupid !!!!

What gets forgotten is that a large number of the people who work for these companies, particularly lower down the pecking order, won't understand the legal side of things, and will simply be genuinely nice people doing a job to pay the bills. I'd much rather they do that then bum around at my expense personally.

Like it or not the industry exists and I'd rather such people were paying taxes. Resorting to hyperbole in the comparison to drug dealers and thieves does your argument a disservice. The industry needs proper regulation, I don't think anyone is disputing that, but to suggest it causes the damage to society that drug dealers do is absurd.

I've highlighted the bit that I dispute the most ( although most of your post is utter rubbish ). I have had people in tears on the phone that I've helped. One disabled woman that I helped was on the verge of giving over the remainder of her food budget for a month to pay one of these 'tickets'.

So before you dismiss this cowboy corrupt industry as just an 'annoyance' you should actually experience the abject despair and depression it causes some people - especially elderly people.

Scum doesn't sum the people up that work in this industry and quite frankly I don't believe anyone who is capable of holding down a job is really that stupid that they don't realise what they and their employer are doing. Scum, scum and more scum and a complete waste of oxygen.

And you are very good at stating that people are wrong without actually backing your statements up in any way, just as you did in the consumer contract cancellation thread where you were forced into an embarrassing climb down where you repeatedly stated that you were right without dealing with the perfectly logical
    issues raised.

Rather than arguing between yourselves and making personal snipes about PPC's and working for them etc etc would it not be far better whilst someone from one of these companies is prepared to raise their head, take them to task on legal points rather than mud slinging.

I'm sure if you feel the need to point score against one another there is a wall you can find to go behind to check who has the biggest set.

Quite easily really. What our company (etc) do is legal.

Tenuous at best - if it is so legal, then how come so many of them are quashed at POPLA and batted out of court? The figures would be much higher if more people knew just how flaky the law is around them.
