Catoninetails in da house!

'Cat' bravely admitted that he/she is a parking company employee. Previous contributions to the forum have been largely of an undermining of points raised, or of individuals, nature.
There seemed last night a possibility that he/she would engage more positively. Unfortunately the engagement was occurring on another OP's thread, so I said I'd start a new one.
OK Cat, what are your thoughts:
1. In overall terms, what do you think will be the outcome of Beavis?
2. If the CoA finds in favour of PE - where do things go?
3. If the CoA finds for Beavis - same question?
4. Just a final one, before opening the debate further - are you IPC AOS or BPA AOS?

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

You need to break it all down to no more than one syllable .... Give him/her a chance! The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]

That's a bit unfair, give him a chance first. What thread was this discussion in?0

We made a bit of a start in slangman's 'Bailiff' thread. A bit of a start, don't get over excited! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Ah I see, it's at least progress. Hopefully we'll get some reasonable debate before it turns into an argument.0

Of course people pay up. The vast majority of them still think that these fake fines are somehow official and think that if they ignore them bailiffs will come knocking on their door and take their car away.
The reason they think they are official? just take a look at PPC paperwork which mimics council issued stuff. Also many people can't differentiate between toothless debt collectors and proper court bailiffs. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Just so we can get a complete picture catoninetails, does your company operate on a contractual charge basis or damages for trespass?0

Can't see how people like Cat sleep at night. Not being rude either, I mean it.
Quite seriously, how can anyone go to ''work'' knowing that they are sending fake parking ticket demands for a living, that people don't have to pay? Knowing as you must do, that it's the stupid/vulnerable/easily scared folk - or typically, the elderly who always just pay bills - who pay your wages. Is that your idea of fun or a genuine job?

I have to agree but I will give catoninetales a little credit for coming clean.
Personally I'd rather be unemployed than work for a PPC ( and yes, before our PPC friend raises it, I do know what it's like to be out of work ).
I actually don't see any difference between what the PPCs do and what muggers do to old ladies.
What is telling is the hundreds of emails and calls I've sent / made to companies such as Parking Eye, G24, Sussex Security Solutions, Parking Enforcement etc etc have largely gone unanswered and the 'tickets' not followed up once I've started to deal with them. That suggests they are nothing but bullies who back down the moment they know someone will stand up to them.
I've even written a email spammer program to email PPCs loads of rubbish -it's still under test but I'm sure G24 enjoyed their dozens of emails over the weekend :rotfl:
So my question to catoninetails is ..... how on earth do you defend bullying and law breaking just so you can take home a few quid ?
IN ADDITION - if catoninetails really believes he / she is doing nothing wrong I'm sure they will be willing to name the fine upstanding employer they have ?"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
It doesn't seem to have crossed the complacent Mr. Cat's mind that if Mr. Beavis wins his appeal there will be certain earth-shaking implications, such as:
- Hordes of ambulance chasers will be pursuing him and his ilk seeking to get people's money back, and if he phoenixs his company the ambulance chasers will go for the principals instead, which will make clients rather hard to come by and
- DVLA will have to stop dishing out keeper details because "reasonable cause" will have gone out the window.Je suis Charlie.0 -
A quick question for the cat,if as is argued by many PPC,s they are there to "manage" the car park which other than enforcing parking whether right or not are the PPC,s also responsible for maintence of the car park.
No doubt like myself there are a number of the smaller car parks poorly maintained and if damaged was caused due to poor maintenance such as pot holes etc who would I pursue to seek recompense? The land owner or the PPC? (Obviuosly I would not need the assistance of a debt company)I Am Charlie0
