No! Delicious! You mean like the kind you put in the microwave for 2 minutes? If so, then I vote No! Delicious! I like it, especially Uncle Bens Mushroom rice!0

Your cooking it wrong maybe?
I don't have an issue with Easy cook rice, it tastes like.....Rice:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)
Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.0 -
Unless you just eat plain, boiled rice then surely the predominant taste will be whatever you are serving with it?0

Yes! Rubbish! As in this stuff... http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=254877362
And quick cook spaghetti too!
It kinda tastes... dusty... and it's hard and lumpy.
Tho the way this poll is going, I'm feeling outnumbered! :eek:0 -

Yes! Rubbish!Don't buy it then! All rice is "easy" to cook anyway, the only reason people have trouble with it is because they can't leave it alone when it's cooking.
Tips: Stir a small amount of oil into the rice before you cook it, making sure that you coat each grain.
Make sure you use enough boiling water, twice the amount of water to rice.
Stir ONCE only (use a chopstick, not a fork) then put the lid on and leave well alone until cooked.
Rinse the cooked rice with boiling water in a colander.
Voila! Perfect (and easy to cook) rice...it never fails!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -

Mine's even easier.
Easy cook long grain rice. 1 cup for 2 people. Boil 1 1/2 cups water. Add rice - bring back to boil. Lid on, turn heat down to low. Leave for 17/18 minutes. No water left, no sticking, no rinsing - just serve.0 -
Yes! Rubbish!I find the easy cook stuff is very bland and doesn't really have any texture to it. Ideal for the dog when he's ill, but it's not going anywhere near my plate any time soon. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I swear by this method - very similar to LilElvis' method above.

This is my go-to recipe for a side dish of rice for things like chili, it goes down well at BBQs as a side too, plenty of flavour and I only ever use cheap rice for it
