Glad you had a lovely holiday.
 Thanks for popping in Elephant. You did well keeping your eyes openand i'll keep following your progress with interest and hopefully a dose of motivation!

74p TT's this morning. Current account looking very healthy for now, though that will change on Monday when £1,150 goes out for mortgage payment (£627.55) and standard OP amount.
Have been reading away at people who are stoozing and considering that as my next hobby (no more switch bonuses for current accounts to get). I did it a few years ago but haven't revisited. We have no intention of needing anymore credit for at least 20 months and we do have a £5k limit on a card that we no longer use so a switch of that would be a start. Decisions, decisions...MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Mrs SJ bonus is in! We weren't expecting much as she'd been off for a large part of the year on maternity leave, but they've paid £247. Now i did ask the question what do you want to do with it, and got a short reply of "do what you want you always do anyway...". So i have....
Not quite OP'd it all I'm not that bad... But Mrs SJ is going away with her friends to Portugal (flights already paid) in February, so i've put £200 to one side for beer spends and then OP'd the 'odd' £47 :j:money::T
I've obviously told her about the Portugal money but maybe not been too open about the OP :shhh: July may now creep to a £600 OP total :beer:MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

Well SJ you might beat me yet...Topcashback payout has scuppered me with a 51p TT today! :rotfl:
Great news about the bonus, I'm sure Mrs SJ knows you have made an OP somewhere! She must know by now if money stands for long enough it gets OP'd!Original Mortgage: £134k Sept 2044  Current Mortgage: £126k Neutral Oct 2039
Ideal goal: TBC

Retro - Mrs SJ has no idea of the scale that we're OPing! I just feed her some figures and stats that i know will appeal; namely daily interest and how many years remaining!
Lippy I am wavering and just need that shove to get started...
Didn't make a NSD today. Took an opportunity of some free time this afternoon to re-grout the tiling in our shower so some spends there. Horrible job so always put it off! We have 2 showers so i bought stuff to do the 2nd one (whenever i can re motivate). Next job that really needs doing is to paint the front door, but i just cant seem to get the time when its dry.
I'm very pleased with my chromebook other than my MB spreadsheet wont work in google sheets because of the macros. I'm no techie but i've just read that! So need to get a new one designed ready for new football season. I'm currently at £4k profit and am determined to be at £9k in 12 months!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
I'm the same, o/p, but no one really knows just how much I'm o/p or when my target date is, would like to keep it as a surprise but doubt I can keep this to myself in RL, since they all thought I had just tied a noose round my neck at my stage in life :rotfl:
Stoozing, heard about it, not sure what it is, but think I may be doing this, if its, buying something with c/c, then putting the money in an account paying interest, then money is there when c/c runs out of 0% time and you need to pay it. Am I stoozing ?
So happy, your pleased with your Chromebook, Did I tell you I love mine :rotfl:, ah, yes, think I might have mentioned itI started to worry after suggesting it, but knew you would do your homework first. What did you plump for in the end? Sorry it doesn't work with your MB spreadsheet though
Ah, again MB - had a read about it at the weekend, when I managed to get on the internet, something on my "to do" list, May be looking for hints, tips etc from the expert, very soon
Wow 9K in 12 months, if I could do that, and my ebaying - I could give up work, just about
Oh my, I really need to get to grips with this MB lark :eek:Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
You are indeed stoozing!!
I opted for an Acer one from the argos shop on ebay. It was one of their 30day return ones so only £103. Apparently it had no box or instructions, but when it came...hey presto...a box, instructions and the charger still in cellophane!
As for MB, have a look at this blog. Read the start up guides, wait for football season to start and follow it step by step. I started with £100, hoping to make £1k in 12 months. I'd hit that by Christmas then it accelerated to £4k by the end of the calendar year.

Thought I might be. Must have read it somewhere and it stuck in the back of my mind.
Oh, you even decided to go with the shop I got my mum's from. That also had a 30 day returns, in addition to the 12 month guaranteeYou got a great bargain, then.
Thanks for the linky to MB, will read and re- read this to be prepared for the football season to start.Did I just read that right, £1000 by Christmas and £4000 by New Year  :j  Well done.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
