I see you are keen to use my £1.01 TT method! 6p TT today and I was tempted to make it £1.06 but I think that is a stretch too far....:rotfl:
Great job with baby SJ, our friends have a wee girl that basically sleeps in 1hr increments and it is exhausting for them.
Good to see you are making better progress than you thought, but you have worked hard at it and as always are my inspiration for this whole MFW journey!Original Mortgage: £134k Sept 2044  Current Mortgage: £126k Neutral Oct 2039
Ideal goal: TBC
Bonus OPs made 2017: 7 total= £159.91SaveSave0 -
Retro - lovely words. We need to start a name for your method to the retro-tidy!
Our baby girl is 18months now so about time!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
The RTT then?! I'm not sure how other TTers would feel about £1.01, but I don't care - we all break the rules here with OPs and TTs!
I can't believe baby SJ is 18 months already! I can see your frustration nowI bet she will be a star now to make up for the misery, or so you can hope :rotfl:

Tough evening with 3 kids and Mrs SJ on a work team building stop over. All 3 bathed and in bed, baby SJ is just mulling over whether to go sleep or not. Decision made and chromebook purchased with a combination of MB and birthday cash. It feels odd as I never buy myself anything fancy!
Sorted breakdown cover for £21 with £4 coming back from quidco cash back.
One more work day tomorrow before a full week off. It's a long one and then I need to get car loaded before bed, but once I've finished work I won't care!!
It's been a challenging few months with DS1 over cubs, and finally he said he doesn't like it because all the leaders do is shout at them...grrrr! So we'll have to find him another group for September, just need it to be a Tuesday which may be difficult.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

You've had a busy night then, so take it looking forward to you time off work.
Settled on a chromebook then, excellent choicedid you settle on the middle road -14" ?
Maybe a fancy purchase now, but think of the hours spent enjoying it and ££'s it will bring in.
Shame about DS1 and the cubs, neighbours son starts school after the break and asked him if he was looking forward to going to school - he said "I'm not going to school" Why not I asked - "Cause all you do is sit and listen to a lady all day" !!! Has a point :rotfl:
Enjoy your break, may be heading to the caravan myself just for the long weekend, but no motorway here, it's all bl***y narrow roads, or as my DB called it when he was little - the bow'n arrow roads :rotfl: I'll see.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Fingers crossed on good forecast for us both this weekend then.
92p TT this morning (i like these big ones). Considering payday in Monday and we've had 2 lots of concert ticket purchases this month our current account looks rather healthy, so i may well add an extra on payday - a month end TT.
We've got 1 more car payment to make (loaned the money off our savings account), so can start redirecting that cash into savings for the next car! For 10 years i've always put money away for a car so that i either use it for paying the loan or use it for a deposit to get a decent family car. The current car should have another 8 yrs in it so the car fund pot will be sizeable next time round. Cash will go into an interest paying current account and i'll use the interest to OP.
Last day in work today, and a day of meetings which never feels like a proper day! Need to spend 30mins on MB for the golf tonight when i get home, so hoping baby SJ is being good again!
Well there's 4 of us in need of breakfast, so i'm off.
Last thing is i'm edging close to 2k in posts, so need to make it a good un!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Hope you have a lovely time SJ!Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.
Starting Mortgage Balance (June 2019) £72,000.
Aiming to be mortgage free by my 40th birthday, June 2026!0 -
Work done for a week :j
Mrs SJ currently packing then I'll load the car ready for tomorrow. Got some MB to do for tomorrow's golf which I'll do in bed, but hoping to be fast as a rock by 11!
Got absolutely nothing to report as I haven't stopped or paused for breathe today! In fact my tea levels are very low and a council worker would be embarrassed by it!
On the plus side today was a NSD:money:MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
My 2,000 post. Unfortunately won't be as ground breaking as i'd hoped, but a few things to report.
Baby SJ slept through again...dare i say it, but we've cracked it... (although a week in a caravan may set her back slightly)...
£1 TT'd this morning, which is always a mini excitement. Managed to place a few MB last night, so at worst i'll make £30, with 3 chances of hitting £110, £130 and £76 if certain players manage to place 6th, 7th & 8th. All risk free of course!
Well 1 car was loaded last night and is now off to work with Mrs SJ. I have a few bits to load (toys/wellies/scooters) and then straight from school pick up we're off... Boys don't know yet, and i'm looking forward to picking them up, dumping their wrecked shoes (they've clung on for 5 weeks to be fair) and holey jumpers staright in the bin and then heading off. Hoping to be there for 5pm. Mobile reception is terrible at caravan site and we have no intentions of moving off the site so i'll struggle to check in i'm afraid till Tuesday... No TT's either as wont be able to log on, so i'll make an apologising OP when i get back!!
Have a great weekend everyone.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
