Well a fully day on my own with the tribe and i survived...! Though i did get a 40 min period when my mum had them whilst i ran my dad to pick his car up from the garage.
Managed to fit in; school run, dog walk, play centre, second school run, DS1 for his replacement glasses where i had to take all 3 of them, playing in garden for a few hours in evening, bath/shower time, watched 1 tennis semi (baby asleep) and i even washed, dried and remade the babies bedding as her bottle had leaked on it. Then best of all baby asleep for 9.30pm with no battles, and she slept through till 7am :j.
So to today, 28p TT'd whilst kettle was boiling, all 4 of us up and dressed and just abut to do breakfasts. Got one of those fiddly day in work with lots of little jobs to do. I'm on my own so come 1pm tennis will be on in the background
Mrs SJ due home at 3, and then i will be in full handover mode of all parental responsibilities (yeah right)! NSD is planned!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Parental handover complete once i'd picked DS2 up from after school sports club, and life is back to normal...namely i've had sport on the tv!
NSD today, but that was even bettered with a £1 road kill which has promptly been dispatched to the small change jar. I'm sure there'll be £5 in there now so i'll count up then cash in for a note in work on Monday, then OP online.
I reckon i get a bonus £5 from small change every month, especially if Mrs SJ has had a night out as she pays for every drink with a note...always!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
It is amazing how quickly the small change jar adds up, we also have a 20p jar and a 50p jar. The 20p jar I use for holiday spending money - there is around £60 in there currently and I will use it to buy groceries for our holiday in a cottage in September. The 50p jar doesn't grow that quickly because everyone raids it for parking money :rotfl:0

Life sounds very hectic, great news that baby SJ sleeping schedule is going in the right direction too.
Have a great weekend, I hope the F1 gives some good MB opportunities for you to follow the tennis MB success.0 -
Thanks Busy and EtE. Small change jar was over £5 so all bagged up and ready to a few eye rolls from Mrs SJ.
TT'd 38p this morning which takes the find to £3.85 for the week with 1 day to go before OPing. Not much happening really, got swimming lesson for DS2 this afternoon and that's about all. Was thinking of doing some outside jobs but the rain has (thankfully) scuppered those plans.
So grandparent visit this morning and then tennis final.
Never tried F1 for MB, but will have a look!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
What a busy few days you have had you sound like a great dad .
Hope you get to watch both finals with out too many little distractions .0 -
Busy?? I'm not sure what i'd do if a i had any time to myself greater than 2hrs!!
So help and advice needed. I currently use my work laptop for home stuff (MB mainly), but it's on its last legs. Now it seems as if i may end up with a desktop comp for work so i'll need something for home. I'm no techie at all so what is the difference between a netbook and a laptop? Figuring i really only need access to bookies websites and then use of my MB and budget spreadsheets so would google drive work on a netbook? As ever i don't really want to spend massive amounts and definitely don't want to spend big for stuff that i'd never use.
Help...MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
A netbook is a lot smaller than a laptop usually so not ideal for doing lots of work on or trying to watch things on a small screen. They are however a lot easier for transporting around as they are not as heavy. They tend to not be as powerful either.
I would say it would work if your just doing a bit of browsing and spreadsheet updates as that is quite light use, if you are ok looking at the smaller screen.
It probably won't be much good if you want something that maybe the kids can use to do their homework in a few years time or if you will be spending a lot of time on it.0 -
Thanks for that info. Confirmed my thoughts it not helped with decision, which I'm fully aware is because of my indecisiveness!
Today worked out as planned. Managed to get 2 dog walks in between the rain, took DS2 to swimming lesson, had to nip to work for 90mins which was fine, had a god tea, now sat in nursery! Very tears at first and she tried her best to make herself sick...now fast asleep and only 11mins tonight. So off downstairs to watch the new Mummy film. Who's betting I'm asleep by 10.15...:rotfl:
Made about £50 MB on tennis final and have at least £30 coming already from tomorrow final. Just hoping for a few more offers now to try and get to the £100 for weekend.
See you all tomorrow! TT pot OPing day :jMFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

Help...
Don't know anything about netbooks, but can totally recommend a Chromebook, I have one, and Love it :happylove, Love it :heartsmil, Love it :grinheart
I just wanted a basic one, and this does everything I need, browse, no need for buying extra security - its built in and so is a version of Office, you can draft up a letter, make up spreadsheets and a whole lot more.
A lot lighter for carrying around and I got the 14" screen which is just perfect for me.
Camera, Files, apps, - I could go on and on.
Paid just over £200 for mine, bought my mum's from @rgos ebay shop - a whole lot less.
Hmm, think you get the message. Love it.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190
