  • personally I'm going the complaints procedure on this card, some of my transactions had a .98 exchange rate applied on GBP/USD and other 1.31 on the same day. Over a week it averaged out to 1.15 versus the actual rate on Forex of 1.31. total disaster

You've been ripped off by retailers applying dynamic currency conversion.

The card has done nothing wrong, you have allowed the merchant to apply their own exchange rate by DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion). A choice of whether to accept this should have been given to you when paying, if not you could request a correction by the company who issue your source card when using it directly, but when using it through Supercard that will be difficult at least.

    Not for me.

IMO SuperCard works just fine. It's a Mastercard, it's free, it's easy to manage and I earn points/cashback. :)

    Indeed.

If I need cash, I use other cards. MSE's advice is invaluable. :)
  • I recently used a combination of Travelex Supercard and Revolut for a trip to Hong Hong and it worked perfectly. At one restaurant the bill was presented in GBP and I had to tick the box to have it charged in HK$. I was slightly annoyed when the transaction appeared on the Supercard app in GBP but a few days later I received a credit for the difference.
