UKCPS and v.a.t.

Options
I have received a pm from a member who has had difficulty in obtaining a v.a.t invoice.

Firstly she was told that that UKCPS was not registered for v.a.t., (surely a falsehood), and when told that she was, said that they do not charge v.a.t.

They operate a contractual charge, does anyone smell fish?

Has she got it in writing?? Really of prime importance in contractual signage cases and we do want to pursue this. HMRC would be interested.

AIUI it was a telephone conversation, which she has recorded.

Is there any way to find out if UKCPS is vat registered, and if so their registration number?

The recording may not be admissible in court, although a transcript may, but it might be good enough for HMRC to start an investigation.

Oh get real. To many on here have a grandiose view of things and of themselves.

Well done .... good contribution .... not !

In fact, having just reviewed all your other posts you've never actually contributed anything worthwhile. Must be hard being employed by scum like a PPC.

Please explain, how does overblown egos by anonymous posters on social media equate with tax evasion?

Anyway, let us not allow some PPC stooge to derail this thread, how do we find out if UKPCS is v.a.t. registered or not?

I don't think Customs and excise care a hoot if these parking firms dodge millions in VAT.
They certainly do not appear to be bothered.

They should be. But I suspect the ownership by Capita makes things more complicated.

UKCPS aren't owned by Capita - unless I've missed that announcement ?

May I respectfully suggest you are incorrect about whether or not the Revenue care about PPCs' VAT and refer you to HMRC -v- VCS. Forget the result of either the case or appeal - but it does suggest that you are mistaken.
