MSE Megan,
Why are some of the spambots PPRd, and others merely have all their posts removed?
That suggests, to me, a certain inconsistency in approach.0 -
Just from observation seems to me that PPR banned usergroup is set by human intervention, while a separate unlabelled banned/restricted usergroup is set when more 'automatic' measures happened?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Some of the bots get caught by the team and PPRd straight away and some get all their posts hit by the spam button, which takes them down rather than PPRing straight away.
Right, now I'm off to bash some spam

Yes.
My previous (tongue-in-cheek) comment was a reference back to MSE Megan's post #566.
MSE Towers seems to have no problem taking one quick look at a post by a brand new user, seeing it is spam, and PPRing that username straight away.
Which is essentially what FPA is designed to weed out - those users that the site owners don't want on their site.
The problem might be more one of whether you actually formally call the procedure FPA or not.0 -
