Another day of spam, I am fed up of clicking on the spam button. The need to be a better way of stopping it.

In line with the current trend, I shall refrain from clicking Spam until MSE fails under the weight of these and finally takes some action.

  • Well...it would be almost a full-time job by now TigerS if someone were to click spam on every single post - and not much good if not enough other people were doing so too.

I didn't click a single one of the "regular" spam yesterday and that's it - I am on strike.

    money

I agree with you. I have been clicking on every spam post and even reporting them as well but it does not seem to be making a dent.

This morning I have just looked at the pages of the rubbish, given a mental sigh and ignored it.

Honestly, I can sympathise with any forum user who decides to take that stance now.

  • Hang on in there an itsey minute - but isn't one of the current spammers at it today using the same name as he previously used?

    ie

    dsgdsgdsg

    ??????????????

or is it a very similar name, with just one character difference - hence why it feels like I recognise it?

Just a slight variant on a previous one. A lot of the usernames are like that.
