I've reported quite a few too - there do seem to be lots of these posts today.

Give the site its due and I've noticed that these posts have often been deleted within a few minutes.

Mostly the spam button, so the users, not the site.

...and they're at it again today. I've just reported a load of posts by the same spambot.

Isn't there a human being somewhere behind this that would be thinking logically enough to realise that its a pretty pointless exercise to spam us in Chinese - as we don't understand it?

It's not targeted at us. As this is a high profile site where mention of something sends it's search engine ranking significantly upwards, it's there for those search engine bot to read. So when someone in China/Korea/India searches something related they are more likely to see mention of whatever site or scam these people are hawking.

Same with most content spam on web pages. It's to boost search engine results, not directly at the normal users of whatever site it's on.

I hadn't realised how these things work. So - it aint us - they're just piggybacking on us as a means to an end. Gotcha....and just reported another one of them.

Maybe if you stopped being policemen then the powers that be would be forced to do something. Try it for a day and see what's on the site.
