Tuesday 11th August, 2015.
Dear Diary,
Today has been a horrible day having had little sleep last night and various troubles with the business today. I also worked out how much is being spent on days out with my son over this summer, wish I hadn't done this as I was quite shocked how quickly £15 here and £20 there adds up. That left me thinking about some of the kids I help with their GCSE as I'm fairly sure their parents won't be taking them to see new places or on educational trips, sad really.
No financial news to report today, apart from me thinking about trying to record keep again. :rotfl: Yes, can see that lasting all of about a week or two but I can appreciate it helps to keep track of things and wish I could become an organised sort, a 'spreadsheet fiddler' if you will.
On a lighter note we are trying to come up with a name for the puppy...
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.2018 totals:

. Look back at all the things that you didn't used to do, didn't think you could do and now do!
Can't be too many days out to fill with pup arriving soon? Have you got all the paraphernalia yet?
What's your shortlist of names, sure we'd be happy to help you chooseBoy or girl? Colour? I was assuming golden from being a lab retriever but they come in black, yellow and chocolate I think!

Our dog is called Mr pickles after the famous Doggy pickles
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickles_(dog)
Look your new addition in the eye and it will come to you. We looked at our new rescue dog called max and decided you look much more like you should be a trophy rescuing, cat chasing dog called pickles. The Mr was added as he deserves a title!
Edited I would also like to say our other dog has a popular girls which I would not recommend as when we shout her usually about 20 kids turn round!0 -

I couldn't imagine Alex would want a dog called Chardonnay!:rotfl:0 -

I manage to keep the records for a month or so then forget to update. After I've forgotten to update I tend to wonder what the point is.
Not too many days out towards the end of the holidays and we are ready for the puppy arriving.More ready for this than we were for our son.
Puppy is a black girl. I'm drawing a blank. Mrs K has come up with Lady, Issy, Lexie, Bella and Coco. Don't know whether to ask our son or not?ourcornercottage wrote: »Our dog is called Mr pickles after the famous Doggy pickles

Mr Pickles is great, I like that. It's so much easier to name a boy dog, in my opinion.I couldn't imagine Alex would want a dog called Chardonnay!:rotfl:

The question is would calling her Syrah be a little bit council too?2018 totals:

I tried that one, it didn't end well! Alvin (from chipmunks cartoon fame) was his choice...no way was I calling that over the field :rotfl:
Alex you could go MSE with Isawe've one in our dog walking group called that.

I like Inca for a girl dog who is black in colour. Works on 2 levels. Hopefully not too many girls called Inca on your 'hood!
I can't imagine you know any kids named after (not so fine) wines. My dogs called Evie (miniOCC picked) named after the girl in Mike the knight but there are squilliins of 3-5 year olds called Evie!0 -
We went for Vinnie, but also has Bert. DS1 wanted Dexter!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

The concern is him insisting on something ridiculous and being sad the dog is called something else.
I've got a bit of time to decide today, my mother has taken him to one of his events as provisionally sold deal looks like it's going ahead.I tried that one, it didn't end well! Alvin (from chipmunks cartoon fame) was his choice...no way was I calling that over the field :rotfl:

:rotfl: At Alvin. I feel similar about 'Coco' but that's Mrs K's favourite, not that she'll be doing much dog walking.
You have dog walking groups? Having to socialise just because I happen to own a dog and they do is my idea of a nightmare. As for Isa, don't really want to be reminded that I'm poor every time I look at my dog, thanks.ourcornercottage wrote: »I like Inca for a girl dog who is black in colour. Works on 2 levels. Like Inca, thanks ourcornercottage. Can't say I like the village I live in being referred to as a "'hood" though.
Do you think it's that bad around here? :rotfl:
No, I don't know any kids named after wines! I do like Evie. Will have to ask my son.2018 totals:
