Well I had thought Suzuki as a great link between cars, bikes, violin and Puccini.:)

:rotfl: I think this is all getting a bit silly now.

Mrs K likes Issy and an 'official' name of Isolde, or 'Tristan's sidekick' as my wife is now calling her.

Ah, a Discovery 3? That's a TDV6. Mines the original Discovery 1 based on the Range Rover Classic. It is also the family house on wheels. Do you have any other LRs?

As for Obama, no. I think had we chosen a boy he would be something simple like Max.

Love the chat on this thread :)
Saw a 1968 Daimler on Sat and spent some time chatting to owner. Got really quite interested in classic cars - as opposed to simple old bangers like what I drive :) Especially when I discovered his was an automatic (essential as left harm can't manage a gear stick thanks to equines past).
Glad a name has been found.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Glad you like the chat, can't say there's much else on here as I'm terrible at keeping records, logging onto the online banking or anything else that MSE'ers usually do. :o

Was the '68 Daimler one of these? 1140713.jpg

I have a Daimlerised Series 1 XJ6, it's a lovely car. As for classic automatics there are lots of them around from MGBs and E types to little Austin 1300s, big old saloons and classic Range Rovers. If you can think of a classic you'd like, most have an automatic option, if not there's no reason you couldn't convert most cars with a bit of time, effort and patience. :)

yep that's the one! Nice car! Mind you think large German Shepherd would ruin the upholstery. German Shepherd won't fit in an MG or an E type Plus I don't have a garage.
Googled the classic range rover - and - was almost a no - till - I saw the convertible version. Its throwing it down with rain again. I am such a practical girl :rotfl:

I'll try to get a photo of pup when she's not running about. :)

:rotfl: Classics are the best. :D Such weather has meant my son and I have been playing in the Series Landy today.

Ah, old Landies are much easier to take care of; they're just like a bit meccano set. :D

It's a Daimler 420 Sovereign, they're a Daimlerised (fluted grill, nicer leather / wood) version of the Jaguar 420. My father had one when I was young, they've got a ridiculous photo of me sat in the back of it with my school uniform on looking very smug. Unfortunately, it was terribly rusty underneath and was declared unfit for the road many, many years ago. :(

You need a Series Landy with a German Shepherd to carry and you most certainly do not need a garage to keep a Series Landy in. :) Convertible Range Rover Classic,.

Nothing to report on the finances today but a good day working on one of the cars, playing lots of music and son playing both violin and piano to my cousin and her family as well as Mrs K and my parents... They politely praised and didn't grimace too much, can't say a 4 year old playing an 1/8 sized violin is a thing of beauty, really. :rotfl: :D

Oh yes and our new arrival is here at last. Also found out my parents have had one of her sisters and cousin is keeping one of her brothers, nice they will grow together and should be good for our dog to socialise. :)
