I too went for an A rating but checked the price and the reviews, and chose the cheapest one with the best reviews overall.
(You will never get 100% reviews on anything, as evidenced by one memorable trip advisor review marking a hotel down because there was a spider in The bath :rotfl:)0 -
Alex I put my leftovers in those silver takeaway containers - you can get them on Amazon. There's 2 x adult portions per container. I put them from the freezer straight into the Oven for an hour at 180. Perfect every time.
It's OK to not defrost, then?
Made some more of the burritos and frozen them over this weekend.smallholdingsister wrote: »Alex if there is only one weirdo at the school gate you are doing pretty well. She probably fancies you.
Great that Little K joined pony club.
:rotfl: There's probably more than one. I stay as far away as possible.
I certainly don't fancy her, could not go there even if she were the last woman on earth and she'd switched the light off. Not. A. Chance.2018 totals:

I would have thought you just go by the "a" rating with fridge/freezers? I'm going for the cheapest with a good rating as I plan on changing the kitchen in a few years.tootallulah wrote: »I just bought a fridge freezer and got the least expensive A rated one, I don't think it is loads better to go more expensive it may look more beautiful but I am very happy with mine. Thanks all.
I will have a look over this week. Can't say I really care what it looks like (cannot be any worse than the current one). I would like something that will last for a good 20 years if possible, though.2018 totals:

I have a beko 1 and have had it for over 10 years and it still works perfectly. I am sure you will see a big difference in your electric consumption with a new 1.
How is the roof repairs coming along?0 -
Had a terrible weekend apart from spending time on Sunday afternoon working on the new car. Wife decided to visit friends for the weekend because she decided she didn't want to spend time with our son after his behaviour last weekend. Thought that was all over with but apparently not.
Weekend was a disaster as far as food was concerned, my son and I ate out both days (last minute plans with my cousin and parents).Last night I wound up feeling a bit ill (too much food / wine) and rather bad for not sticking with the plan. Today I'm getting back on track and have made (and frozen) some more burritos and have shopped for 4 days this week, all very healthy and cheap.
Having the roofers here is not helping my state of mind at the moment. Not sure why I'm getting stressed about this as I'm not doing anything but yesterday I was on edge all afternoon anticipating them arriving today. Life seems hard to get on with at the moment.2018 totals:

Thanks, Kelpie.
I'll have a look at a Beko. Hopefully I will see a positive difference in the electricity consumption.
Roof work is happening.I'm trying to stay out of it and let them get on as for some reason I'm really quite stressed about it (not sure why, to be honest).

Perhaps your wife would benefit from spending time alone with your ds? It's a very unusual way to behave for most mums (or dads !) and maybe some mum and son time for a few days might help improve their relationship.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

For the first time I am NOT with Mrs K.
Who is "supposed to be" the adult?0 -
I can't sleep tonight. Very anxious thinking about a discussion with my wife earlier and this roof. After trying an early bedtime I got up and made a stew for dinner tomorrow, really am keeping with this plan! :rotfl:Perhaps your wife would benefit from spending time alone with your ds? My wife likes to spend a few hours with him when they're doing a fun activity, the last time she had him on her own for a while she took him on holiday with her brother, his wife and their two daughters. It didn't go well and she fell out with her brother after leaving our son with them most days whilst she did her own thing. Before that point so far as her brother was concerned I was the devil in disguise; every time my wife and I had a disagreement she used to stay at his place for the night / a couple of nights / a week or so and he'd tell me if he could manage to persuade her to leave me I'd never see my son again (never mind son was at home with me). During the holiday he found she expected them to provide around the clock childcare, my son missed me terribly and he actually called me each evening for my son to speak to me. After, he had quite a falling out with my wife and put an end to her staying at his. Due to this I don't really want her taking him away for a few days unless it's something she decides she would like to do and can demonstrate she will spend the time with him. At the moment, she has not shown such an interest.smallholdingsister wrote: »For the first time I am NOT with Mrs K.

I don't think it's very good for my son, to be honest. I often tell him that she's working when she's gone away / out with friends or work colleagues, can't say I'm pleased about lying. He's getting to the age where he's starting to notice other children's mothers are very involved in their lives (often more so than the father). I wish she always wanted to be involved as a parent and was so proud of her efforts this summer but it seems it wasn't to last.2018 totals:

Ok, wow not sure what to say to that
I was kind of thinking she had some kind of pnd and hasn't bonded well with him. I can see why you would be worried leaving her in sole charge though, have things improved over the years?
