I doubt it's because the guy was deaf/foreign etc. Even then, I'd think he'd make an effort to communicate somewhat. Or at least just give a forced smile. I do feel sorry for these couriers though, with the time pressures and the low pay.

OP, did you get the online survey by email once you received the delivery? I had a yodel delivery yesterday and got the survey shortly after. Have to say the guy I got was very polite and chatty. Its a pity they always want to know about your 'most recent' delivery. Most other deliveries have been problematic. My previous yodel package was found by someone who lives about 300 yards up the road, dumped near a hedge in her garden.
