ignorant yodel delivery guy!

Whilst he might not have cared that the parcel contained Grai's new shoes and been thinking "So?" it was rude that he didn't reply to her direct question about the other package.
It was also rude that he walked away without even a "thank you". Even if English wasn't his first language, surely someone at the depot would have taught him the bare necessities - hello, sign here, thank you.
I can't imagine many delivery drivers say thank you, nor why they would - they are providing the service, surely it is the recipient that says thank you?0 -

Nature of my work means I get deliveries at home 2-3 times a week. Maybe I've been lucky but the drivers have always said thanks when I hand them their little machine or piece of paper back after signature. The same way the checkout lady at Tesco says thanks when I hand her my Clubcard. It's just courtesy really, I think.
Although it seems that Grai did say thanks and her driver appears to have ignored that too.0 -

"Lucky" that a courier says thank you to you? Too much time on your hands there ...0 -
Noo! Hmmm, maybe not "lucky" then but I'm polite to people, I say please and thank you, I hold open doors etc and it's always nice to interact with people with the same values I think. Manners really don't cost anything.0

Total non response from the delivery man would have seemed odd to me I think but fuming about it is excessive. Guess he may have been a deaf mute. Love 'death mute'

1) delivery drivers are on very tight schedules indeed.
2) Yodel is one of the worst-reputed courier services, and so they probably employ the worst staff at the lowest rates paid.
3) At least you DID get your delivery - many don't (and I have been one of them!)0 -
Note to self: if you see a forum that has a place on it where you can vent - don't bother- it will be only be answered by horrible people with ..erm....well lets just say..."too much time on their hands"0

It's slightly ironic you complain about people with too much time on their hands when your vent is basically the yodel delivery guy wouldn't chat to me0 -

You complained about someone not replying to you. Now you're complaining about people replying to you.
Make up your mind!0
