for 1 month. I was planning to move because e-on was going to increase my bill. So I emailed them last week around end of feb that I was going to move. I checked my bank statement which came through the door today and I was charged £577 by direct debit by e-on in march. This has never happened before. I told them what the reason was for this was and they said that we had a faulty meter and that they have to replace it and as soon as they did they increased our bill. But we had the meter for 3 years so should not have been faulty.
They told us that our bill each month will now be £577?. I think that they are crazy all the lady said was that the bill is with the dispute team. If it's with the dispute team how comes you charged me £577 without notifying me or sending me a letter. How comes this happened what I notified you I was moving. Where was the evidence of the faulty reader. £7200 a year?

Well what did they say when you asked them?0 -
Well if you are moving you Wont be paying them anything monthly surely?
A fixed contract just fixes the amount per unit you pay, not the amount per month you'll use.
They've been collecting regular meter readings from you?
Or you've been submitting accurate meter readings to them?
Did they replace your meter?

They said we sent you an email but we are set to paper bills so we should of received this through the post and I cant see any emails from them in my inbox. She also said as the dispute team is closed on Saturday that she couldn't do anything. So they have taken the money by direct debit . Lack of information on the phone and have to wait till Monday to find out more. I used the estimate of the gas and electric for my bill a month using a different supplier and they charge me £78 a month so I don't know how they got £577 a month from. I read the review and they done this to other as well. I've spoke to neighbours who have said that they are charged £80 a month. So I assume that guy who came to fix the new meter might be faulty?. So they removed a working meter and replaced it with a faulty one?.0

Paperless bills through the post no that's why they are paperless .
Do you have actual meter readings or are you just estimating usage .0 -
why did they remove the meter originally?0
-
Have you taken your own meter readings, have you got previous emails or annual statements showing your usage?
How does your current usage compare with previous months?
Was your first meter the faulty one leaving you with a lot of arrears maybe?0 -
Sorry paper on iphone . It was removed 6 months ago and we been paying £77 a month. We also had the guy come each month to get a reading. We are on estimate but we have the guy from g4s come out and do the reading each month.0
