I have roughly £90 in moc's I need to use before the 31st of August but the cupboards are seriously overstocked, foodwise.

Can anyone suggest anything else I could buy for future use as my brain won't work this morning

I don't need washing powder/toilet rolls/washing up liquid or any more cleaning products.

Hiya, i have had this 'problem' too. How about-

batteries- if you dont need them now maybe you will need lots at christmas. Remember that alarm clocks should have a battery in too incase of a power cut. Oh and smoke alarms too!

Lightbulbs- we have spotlights in our kitchen and bathroom, these cost about £2 each

Giftbags- all my free H&B is bagged up as gifts. EG Dove bags have shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, bodylotion, beauty bath, handwash, summer glow lotion. I just need Dove deodorant to go on bogof now. I also have 'Original source' and 'john frieda' bags and am currently making some 'nicky clarke' ones.

Cookware- i have replaced most of my baking trays. I also got a new set of mugs- 1 with each shop untill i had 8. (6 for the stand and 2 spares)

Cards- birthdays, wedding, new baby etc.... chances are you will need them at some point.

    xx

Good tips there Foxy - I'm nowhere near the stage of MOC overload as I have yet to work out where to find them all, but I'm aiming to combine H&B with Bootsing to put together Xmas gift packs! :D

  • I know I should probably be on PTS but I dont really like it there and they get annoyed if you only use it for swaps.
I have some spare H+B, PM me with your address if you would like some.
My local town PO collects on a Sunday too so hopefully they will get to you on Tuesday, still leaving a few days to use them. I would appreciate a stamp or if you some MOCs or whatever.

You would be most welcome to post on the giveaways thread on PTS :Dhttp://www.paidtoshop.co.uk/showthread.php?t=12339

Its people with no posts asking for things ( and not politely either  ) or ONLY using the swaps part without contributing to the rest of the forum, that's not liked !
  • I only recently discovered the Tesco threads and have spent the last two days reading them (just when you think you've read all the "scams" another one appears!!!!!).:T

Anyway, I paced all the children in the car and went to 3 different tescos to seek out these H&B vouchers (much to their discust) with no joy at all!!!

Can I take a wild guess that these vouchers disappear within a couple of days of being released!!!????

Thank you all for all the great info:A .
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

    My way is Atkins;)

    Yes!

Oh said we could do with another freezer for all the food I keep bringing back and the larger Extra stores do actually sell a freezer for I think £129.99. Doubt they would take £90 of moc's off it though! :rotfl:

New kettle, toaster, smoothie maker? :D

Wish I had that problem, lol.

What about DVDs or CDs to put by for Xmas? There's alot in the sale sections at the moment. And you might find an unexpected DTD! :)

(Best to first check you can return them if unwanted. No problem at my local as long as the item is still shrinkwrapped.)

Also, what about alcohol? Another good one with Xmas coming up, although they'll be more special offers nearer the time.

In our little Tesco yesterday they were selling trays of 30 pansies for £3, ideal for filling gaps and also playing gardening if you have little uns.
Also today in a big Tesco I got for £5 a huge bag of daffodils in a hessian reuse bag with handles, daffs printed on the side. This would actually make an unusual present if you know of anyone who gardens and has a bithday in early September/end of August.
They are also selling lots of nice pens and stationary now so these are another good item to build a stock of.
I have bought this week my winter jacket using coupons and a going out in jacket for my OH, again using coupons.
I would not worry too much about your coupons being out of date though - I used to high- light the date on the coupon so the till person could see they were in date but I cant remember the last time anyone checked. Usually out of dates ones get handed back to you - I just say my reading glasses are missing and everything is a complete fog, completley true.
I would though put your coupons in value order and always try and use the bigger value ones up first 50ps and £1 and above.
I think the best thing to do is to get to a huge mega Tesco, no shortage of things you need in lots of sections and shop on your own, no children, give yourself plenty of time and maybe go around twice.
