TESCO H&B COUPONS - Thread 3 *See First Post for UPDATES*

OK I have finally done it, I have only about 2 H and B shops to do before I am down to only having the £1.25 quit coupons. Actually I am quite sad about it so I am hoping to check out some out of my area Tescos next week in the hunt for more H and b coupons. I've even used up all but one of my Tesco blue clothing coupons, waiting more in the post but I never got the mailing others got.
But I have got about 4 lots of healthcare £2 and two £1 combinations left. I also now have the childrens vitamin coupons and I think the two one coupons might be the most useful for coupon combining.
Please can someone advise me what to get. I know there was a little discussion a week or so ago, seem to remember basetts vitamins???
Total after discounts:£4.96
Used: £2 Healthcare QK, 2 x £1 peach healthcare, 2 x £1 kids vits vouchers = £6.00 so you end up in £1.04 in credit.
Best of luck! Double check you pick up the blackcurrant ones, as the orange flavours are £2.97."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
Disaster!!!
I have been getting very brave just lately and have been using H&Bs and QKs quite successfully. However, I've just returned from doing two H&B shops and the till didn't take even one of my vouchers!!! The young SA tried to scan every coupon but the till bleeped each time and I had certainly bought enough for the vouchers to work!
Even the MOC for the items I bought didn't work so I visited CS with those and got the money refunded - I didn't dare ask for DTD though - I was still bright red from people watching as the till bleeped away!!
Don't know whether to give up now? Might try again tomorrow with just a little shop and try returning some of the items I bought. I'll let you know tomorrow how I get on...
Best thing is to get back out there and have your faith restored!I don't think you would have been entitled to DTD as it wasn't Tesco overcharging you......it was just the fact that your moc wouldn't go through.

I had a similar experience a few weeks back and if the SA does not press total mocs are not accepted by till. I tried again next day and everything went through well,Good luck:o0 -

Seven Seas kids Vits are on BOGOF - blackcurrant 30's are £2.48 and orange 60's are £2.12. The Kids Vits £1 coupons work with the £2 Quits and £1 H&B. You will need to make sure you spend £8 min if you want to use 1 x £2 plus 2x £1 plus 2 x£1 and also buy somehting extra to cover the resulting credit. I can vouch for the blackcurrant ones - all 3 of my tablet phobic grandchildren actually remind me that they need these at breakfast time !!!ELITE 5:2

Can I just say a big 'thankyou' to all the people on here who have helped me learn this new art of 'shopping'!! This quarter I have received over £240 worth of deals as well as getting more than £120 at car boots using surplus to requirements h&b stuff (from Boots as well!!). Now I need to try and match it for the next quarter!!!
Here's to more coupons,codes and carboots.:beer:0 -
Sorry if this is a silly question, I am ok with the h&b, sb and qk and use them to get my toiletries (in amongst regular shops) but how do you get all these mocs you keep mentioning? and how do you use them to get all sorts of stuff? I am trying to plan for as minimal spend at Christmas as possible to help to sort out my debts so am looking for ways to get bits and pieces cheaply....
I think people buy them off eBay or alternatively swap coupons on www.paidtoshop.co.uk (although it is not just a swap site). Each store/assistant seems to have their own policy but if you are lucky they will scan all your money off coupons without you actually buying the product.
Kind regards

Thanks to everyone who replied to my question of what to buy at Tesco to get rid of my stash of moc's.
I had a briliant time at Tesco today and managed 8 shops, spread over 4 visits to two seperate Tesco's.
It was a bit weird today as we had a stacked trolley of non food items (loads of cleaning stuff even though I vowed not to buy anymore but you can never have too much Domestos or Flash!) and my daughter said she had a bad feeling about going to the till as we had 3 lots of shopping to split on the same belt.
I knew what she meant as I still get butterflies when approaching the tills, its the uncertainty of whether or not you will get everything accepted. I do think your success hinges on your attitude though as today proved. We had no trouble at all at the tills and got everything down to really low amounts, mainly because (in my opinion) I expected to get everything for very little and I think that comes across to the sa when you pass your coupons/vouchers across.
If you are hesitant or look a bit anxious, that communicates itself to the sa and they start to wonder why you are anxious and ergo, start to wonder if you should be handing over so many vouchers. So... look confident and you will have more success!
Foxy Lady, I must say you had some great ideas on what to buy, just wish you had posted before I set off!
I did go down the dvd route today as it makes a nice change to have some fresh dvds to watch, plus there are loads on offer at the minute and some as low as £3 :T
I managed to get rid of quite a few coupons but still have loads left to get rid of in the next few days. I am quite sure I will have great fun finding ways to spend them though!
P.s am off to Knowsley safari park tomorrow, think its somewhere near Liverpool or Cheshire (geog wasn't my strong point at school). Am definitely going to be stopping off at a local Tesco before AND after we have been (hubby doesn't know this yet, bless) so if anyone has any coupon friendly stores in that area, could they pm me to let me know, thanks!Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110 -
If you get a beeping till quite often it is becuase the till girl/boy has not done a sub total so ask them to try that - nearly always works. They just assume you work in shops so they dont mind being reminnded.
And if you do get a bad shop just go back and try again next day. We all get the odd bad couponing days. As you say it is a good idea to try again with a small shop - even when I am just doing a £5 shop I hand in some couponsDisaster!!!
