Well done Hester sounds like you are all organised and ready to go.
Karcher can only echo what the others have said have been in your position before but remember karma's a !!!!!.
Well I must have slept funny the other night as I have managed to set my neck. I had forgotten how painful it could be however, all things considered it could be a lot worse and I know it will get better but my it is debilitating.
Hugs to any who need though with all the talk of elephants and monkeys hugs are just so mundane lol xx

DGS12 has been bribed with an offer of lunch to come and help, he's going to strim the lawn that was mown yesterday and lift boxes for me.

I've taken painkillers to get me moving, I've booked a council collection for next Wednesday they will take the 2 mattresses, a bed base, chest of drawers and wardrobe.

Three people are due to come and collect stuff, I hope they turn up.

I shall need to sleep for a fortnight when this is all over!

Hester at least you know that you can get to sleep on the boat - I guess it's the gentle movement & noise (apart from CHS snoring!). Have PMd you by the way.

    Afternoon all,

Ivy, the imaginary part is quite important isn't it? :rotfl: Good thing GQ came along with an explanation and to fill us in on what Nursie is up to. I wonder if she couldn't hop over the pacific and sort out another rather portly man when she is done....

I've got Henry's cousin..also named Henry myself now. We bought a Vax about 4 years ago and were disappointed so went with a Henry about a month ago. OH does most of the floor cleaning around here and seems quite pleased with the red fellow, I'm just hoping GQ's Henry doesn't convince ours to host Nursie on her next holiday!!

Shanks, I hope your neck eases soon. It really is painful when that happens!

Hester, the very best of luck. It really is all coming along, but in no small part due to your hard work. I really admire you for going for it!

I've just had a tuna sandwich for lunch. It will be pasta arrabiata with aubergines for tea tonight. I'm plodding my way through a tedious work task today but will nip off to the gym in a bit to burn off some stress. The nerves about tomorrow are already kicking in, but as Monna says I shall just do it and see what happens.

Lovely bright sunshine at the moment, but it keeps being pushed out of the way by clouds.

Hugs to all who need them.xxx

Very best wishes for tomorrow FPk. You go girl! :j

Hester i'm glad your DGS is coming to help, though i can't believe he's 12 now  Where does the time go?

I considered telling OH about Nursie, but decided she was much too complicated to try and explain :D

:D Yeah, trying to explain a figment of the over-active imagination of this strange woman you 'know' on the t'interwebs........ :rotfl:could get a bit of a weird look for that one, ivyleaf!

Seriously, I feel that Nursie emerged into my mind so fully-formed that she must exist somewhere, on an alternative plane of reality, perhaps.

Or mebbe I'm just a bit bonkers, but I'm cool with that.:p

Not sure if it was this thread where I complained that I couldn't find a pair of my trousers.
Anyway, I sternly told myself it was more than high time I washed the pretty top I'd worn to a Christening last autumn, which had been in a garment bag in the hall ever since coming home :o I just haven't had occasion to wear it since, and had sort of forgotten it was there behind the coats. Every now and then I'd see it and think "Must get that out and wash it!" but then I'd leave it where it was because it really needs to drip-dry.

Anyhoo, I hauled it out, and discovered the missing trousers were in with it, so they were obviously the lower half of the Christening outfit and I haven't worn them at all this winter/spring :D I feel a bit silly to have forgotten where they might be, but I'm glad they've turned up :j

He was baffled enough when he discovered I knew the name of the dentist of a dear friend I hadn't seen for 48 years (the friend and I do write to each other frequently, i should add.) She happened to mention the dentist in one of her letters years ago, and by some odd quirk of memory I always remembered it. Shame I don't remember the useful stuff, though....

But yes, he'd think we were all bonkers, if he doesn't already :D

Bonkers maybe GQ, but so very funny.

Ivy, he is 13 next week and towers over me, not that that is difficult.
He moved the boxes and did the garden work and then enjoyed his lunch, he's helping on the boat at the weekend and helping me shift furniture into the garden for the council to collect next week.
I had an unintentional nana nap, I sat at the pc to check my ebay sales and suddenly woke up when CHS phoned for a lift home.

Solar panels are being fitted to the boat next week they should help keep the costs down.

I had a conversation with the incoming tenant about a tumble dryer, she said she has one but doesn't use it much, just to dry bedding, towels and clothes, doesn't leave much does it!

I went to grate some cheese earlier then remembered I'd given DD the grater!

2 out of the three people who were coming to collect stuff turned up, this evening I'm doing some more ebay and facebay listing.
    Chin up, Titus out.
