I agree - hopefully all are out and about enjoying the sunshine where possible and away from their laptops, phones, tablets etc.
I'm enjoying the sight of the flowers on my lovely red Oriental poppy in the sunshine (and trying to ignore the weeds, for now).

A few years ago we planted some "Flanders poppies". They didn't seem to do very well, died quickly, and didn't appear the following year. Last year, suddenly there they were, a lovely display. This year, not a sign of them coming up so far!
Is it just too early, or are they biennial like wallflowers? Anyone know? When we first came to live here we too had an Oriental poppy, and that did come up every year.

How I envy you all with your flowers. Our garden seems to be full of holes, evidence of Dora's determination to get to Softstuff as soon as possible. Hanging the washing out is fraught with danger. Any flower that has the temerity to open is swiftly dispatched with one chomp of the relentless jaws.

I jest. It only takes those huge legs to envelop me in a bear hug and that enormous tongue to cover me with sloppy kisses and I melt.

There is a Dalmatian on a nearby boat, dgd got to make a fuss of him and was smitten.
I'm still sorting and packing and scraping pennies together from Music Magpie, eBay and other selling outlets.
I've found a real fake Rolex and I'm wondering if I can sell that on eBay too, I also have 2 Sarah Jane Szikora figurines and an Old Father Thames that is a numbered edition. Any money will help towards paying the house clearance company.
Captain Hot Stuff has finally sorted out his clothes and other carp and DD1 has just driven away with her car full of tools and gardening equipment.
