Oh Hester, they really are beyond belief

Well, tomorrow I'm meant to be going into hospital to have my operation, but I have a dry cough since Sunday! I spoke to the sister in charge of the ward and coughed down the phone for her :p and she agreed it's not a chesty cough and said that if it's still the same in the morning, to come in as planned and see what the anaesthetist said; I explained that I was more concerned about the effect of a cough on a newly-repaired undercarriage  so she said I'll have to see what the consultant says.

So if I don't post tomorrow you'll know I'm under the knife :D in which case I hope to come home on Friday.

Poor OH has a chest infection but doesn't want me to postpone the op, as I have already had to do that once. I feel bad about having to get him up at 0530 to get there for 0700, but can't be helped. Dear of 'im, as my Mum used to say :A

Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
