Oh my, Monna I don't envy you trying to keep that lot tidy, there is only 2 of us and some tropical fish & I struggle, but then I'm lazy.
I did clear half a dustbin bag of mending yesterday, all hand sewing, the items can now go back to DD2's, today I need to do the machine sewing, if I can be bothered!
One other small bit of decluttering here, DD1 phoned to ask if we have a spare chest of drawers, we have lots so she will collect one soon.
I'm roast dinnered out so it will be cottage pie today I will add oats, lentils and grated carrot to the mince so it will stretch it to two pies.

Need some puppy photos Monnagran, nothing like a puppy for cuteness.

Hester, I think it's the fish causing the problem. Veyr untidy creatures fish.

I hope everyone's plans for 2017 go well. I hope to do ok at work, finish the house and continue to snuggle my husband. Modest goals I'm looking forward to this year, our 10th anniversary is soon and I still feel like we're on honeymoon.

I am in a similar state to you. In 2015 my world crashed around my ears and 2016 has been very, very difficult. I am also intent on rebuilding my life during this year. Good luck to both of us.

Camelot, it is called Dora.
a bit confusing as DGS's beaten up old fishing boat which resides in the drive, (sporting a Christmas tree with lights atm) is also called Dora.

Dora the Dalmatian, how cute, erm you do know that Dalmatians are very characterful dogs don't you?
I once offered to dog sit a springer spaniel and the owner asked if I knew what I was letting myself in for as they too can be characterful, I did, he was lovely.

That's true SS I keep telling my L&M it's the fish but he doesn't believe me, probably because he has never seen them doing crochet or sewing and a lot of the mess is my yarn and fabric.

PVC & handcuffs, I don't know what you mean Monna, I'm a total innocent where that sort of thing is concerned!

Good luck with the move FPK and Fuddle, my L&M is browsing properties online but nothing is out there at the moment, still something will come along eventually I'm sure.

FPK you'll do what you have to m'dear and you'll give of yourself what you have to give but remember to take just the odd few minutes for YOU while you're doing it! I love the fact that your planning and plans are coming to fruition, I think you are very sensible to trial an area by renting before buying but most of all I love the fact that instead of sitting back and waiting for things to happen in your lives you have planned how you want them to be and are taking the first Oh so Exciting steps to making them just what and how you want them to be, you are a rare couple with your feet on the ground and your heads in reality and your ambitions in hand and you in the driving seat. What a pleasure it is to know there are folks like you in this world and it gives hope that with the future will come sanity and sense. With you every single step of the way, good on you both!!!

Happy New Year everyone,
I started to post here in Aug then got very sick.
I am now on the mend so would like to join you again.
I have been reading off and on.
The sun is out here at the moment but its still very cold.
Nothing planned for today, just a day of rest.
