...Maggie the cat has a new favoured spot--a blanket under the radiator. She spends most of the day there and then mid afternoon heads off to her radiator hammock for a proper sleep. Must say, I sometimes envy her!

Hugs to all who need them.x

Our Whisky cat has s similar place - the pipe for the heating runs under the floorboards there, so she is doubly cosy. Mind you, I found her curled up underneath the thrown-back duvet when I went to make our bed yesterday!

Were you heartless enough to move her or did you delay bed making? I must admit that it is a toss up who will win if Maggie has colonized the bed before it is made :D

She was actually curled up on the throw at the foot of our bed, and had snuck under the duvet - she gave me a very disgruntled look when I picked up the duvet to smooth it back over the sheets, as I had obviously subjected her to a cold draught!

Hester I would not blame the solicitor but rather Royal mail. I never ever get important letters ie I have missed 4 scans and 3 hospital appointments at the Christy the last two years. All the other appointments they gave me the previous time I was at the hospital the hospital. I have also in that time missed 5 documents from my electricity supplier, and 4 letters from my pharmacist at the same hospital, 2 appointments from another hospital.

I don't know for certain but |I have lost Christmas cards and birthday cards too. I think DS is missing some letters from the DWP as are not contacting him for an interview from when when he lost his job at the beginning of August. That is 3 months he has had no money.

If you don't get an offer from FPK who lives in Manchester I will take your letter as it is only a short train ride away.

I think once letters arrive at the sorting office in Manchester they have just been posted in the bin since they were privatised. I can't get any of the people who have sent me letters to investigate and if necessary complain to Royal Mail. They tell me to but I cannot complain about what I did not post.

Just thought. I can't guarantee I will get your letter!

You really do take your chances with the post these days, but there's really no excuse for the emails.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • You rang Hester? Perhaps I could borrow the elephant and install him in the office until said solicitor does what is expected?
  • Thanks nurse Maggie but it is the solicitors, I can tell by the franking date, I have written to complain and I phone the solicitors every day to chivvy them along.
Thanks FPK, that is so tempting.
Dgs is here today explaining v video editing to my L&M.

Goodness, what a wet day  Such a shame, it's the Lord Mayor's Show this morning and it will be spoiled, after so many people working so hard to prepare their floats for it.

Very glad I bought some calf-length wellies recently! I think I shall invest in some sheepskin insoles for them.

ETA I wore the wellies when we went to the local shops and was so pleased when I realised I could walk through the puddles :j Definitely need those warm insoles though!
