Glad you had a lovely time nursemaggie, and I hope the new striplight arrives pronto!

Oops, nearly forgot - silvasava - Can you get Onken yogurt locally? I think that would be fairly Muller-like :)

Has anybody else had a really sore arm with the pneumonia jab?

Yes, we both did when we had it a few years ago. Still glad we had it though :)
It reminded me of having jabs as a child, all the kids standing at the bus stop afterwards holding their arm!

Nice to see you back nursemaggie and so glad that you enjoyed your holiday, you were overdue for a treat. It's down to earth with a sickening crash, isn't it?
Don't have any good advice about the striplight but cannot believe what it is costing you. Until it arrives can I suggest a torch strapped to your head?

Silvasava: I'm not familiar enough with M*ll*r corners to suggest a substitute but I would guess that a Greek yogurt with fruit might fill the bill.

Well, the meeting about the Christmas Lunch went well. Two of the 'this is the way it's done and ever shall be' group were missing so we got through with the minimum aggro. God moves in a mysterious way.
I find myself responsible for 5 dozen mincepies, stuffing for 60 (hold back on the jokes please, I've heard them all) and a nut roast for the vegetarians. So if anyone has a recipe for a nut roast yummy enough for Christmas Lunch I'll be for ever in your debt.

On Saturday I am off to Cornwall with some friends who have rented a cottage for a week. I am there to prevent one elderly lady inflicting GBH on another elderly lady. Should be fun. Why teenagers think that they have a monopoly on fights and fall-outs between friends beats me. They should get a load of these two. Knitting needles at dawn.

Thanks Ivy - the RV, naturally, is fine. But I feel like my arm's broken lol. He calling me a wimp, The cat and I aren't talking to him :)

Mar: You just needed that on top of all your other problems, didn't you?
Hole in the head time, obviously. x

Can't help with a nut roast I'm afraid to say - I'm a Vegetarian fatally allergic to nuts :o:eek::rotfl:

I can't remember Mar so it can't have been bad. I think it ached a bit next day.

Monna I can't imagine what a torch to go on my forehead would cost, much more than a strip light. I bet it would only be available online plus another hefty delivery charge. The one for the stiplight is not even next day deliver. I can't even add up the bill for the total by my reckoning they have overcharged me by £2.04.

Dear nursemaggie I wouldn't dream of you buying a custom made forehead torch. I was thinking more of an ordinarytorch that you could lay on the top of your head and keep it in position by putting elastic, ribbon, string or an enormous stretchy garter over it and securing it under your chin.

Forgive me my love, I do have a strange sense of humour and it's best to take everything I say with a fistful of salt.

I will try to be a lot more serious in future.
