Please just ignore me whilst I rant for a while.
We have had a letter from OCC Health about my L&M's illness, his line manager has claimed that hubby's stress and heart problems are caused by our home life. She suggested this to me at work and I refuted the idea. Now I understand that she is trying to shift the blame from herself onto me but I feel thoroughly insulted. When I think of the lengths I go to, to ensure that our home life is stress free, I take responsibility for the finances, I got without clothes and haircuts and pretend it's through choice. I pay 50% of all the outgoings even though that takes 95% on my salary. I maintain a calm and smiling appearance at home, yes I know I rant and whinge on here but I have to have somewhere to let of steam. Aargh! I'll shut up now.
We can now go back to discussing bras and head torches, hey, how about a torch that sticks out of a bra, that way I'd b able to see what I was doing when I was crocheting.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Consultant phoned me at 6.30 last night - she must be on overtime. Told me just what was going on with me, and agreed I'm under-medicated so can up my steroids starting now. So hopefully this will give me a better quality of life. This was the one I've been calling the heifer, and she was so helpful and nice that I feel really bad now

Mar that's great news I really hope you feel better soon.Chin up, Titus out.0

The heifer frightened you Mar. I am pleased that you're able to have much more of a quality of life. I have to say I am somewhat daunted though... half kilter Mar is what we're used to and have been for years. I can only imagine the wit, humour and gusto that we'll get with you operating at full pelt!

Good news Mar, enjoy the feelings that change for the better is about to happen.0 -
Hester hopefully an appointment with Occy Health will let out the true state of affairs, both in the workplace and at your relaxing, stress-free, grandchildren-played home

Am sending you something in the post today

Fuddle bet that was interesting - I 'm finding the programme quite challenging to watch - partly due to the folks I work with, some of whom live in dreadful situations - modern day slums and workgangs - and partly due to my own challenging life experiences.
I'm very concerned about what will happen in Britain in the coming months and years and hoping that trafficking does not increase with lack of "affordable" labour.0 -
Hester, what sods!! Don't really know what to say but rant away, we're here for you!!
Excellent news Mar, and yes you should feel bad about called her a Heifer - think you should atone by offering her some of your jelly babies - or do you not feel quite that bad????:rotfl:0 -

tonight I have washed 8 loads of washing including 2 lots of towels , more to go in overnight hopefully to hang outside tomorrow ....
:eek::eek::eek:
EIGHT?????? Bliddy hell - 8 loads would take my machine over 24 hours on its usual cycle. I am not sure I have 8 a week - though my machine is a 7kg one.... Poor you
Good news on the Meds Mar. Sympathies to Hester and others who suffer.
Monna - i make a lovely cheese and lentil loaf. Excrutiatingly fattening, mind. I have the cranks cookbook at home but am away for a few days atm.
Someone I don't know has been a little rude to me on a thread on FB that has nothing to do with her  It's only a silly thing - but still maddening. Mind your business you nosy cow....I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Sorry if this is a bit garbled ! I've been ill since last week . Although I'm grateful to the NHS dd and I spend far too much time in waiting rooms and are coughed and sneezed on too many times , don't know what we've picked up but I wouldn't wish it on anyone . Dd is back for her 2 weekly gp appointment tomorrow but we will be tucked down a corridor to avoid passing germs to those in the waiting room .
Such a lot to catch up on , Ive been offline since last Friday .
Mar such good news hopefully the increased dose will make a difference .
Fuds Keep looking after yourself - one day at a time love . x
Hester I hope things sort out . I confess nothing surprises me these days .
Burtha Look after yourself , your life sounds so full on I wonder if you get any sleep . Remember you are ill and try to rest where possible .
WCS Re the pneumonia jab was it the surgery who told you it wasn't available ? It is a condition here for immune suppressing drugs . I seem to recall you are on MTX as is my dd . She had the jab last year - it is a five yearly one unlike the annual flu jab . I would speak to your rheumo nurse at the hospital if you haven't checked with them as you should have it after spending this year trying to recover from pneumonia .
Sending gentle hugs for those who need . I've forgotten half of the posts so will attempt to catch up .
NM both Homebase and B&Q here stock the tubes in a number of sizes . I bought replacement tubes in HB in August for the garage lights .
pollyIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.0
