Hi all, I'm back, just a few hours ago and had to see what everyone's up to.
Mar Sending you special ((HUGS)), it's so hard when we long to help our children and know there's really nothing we can do.
Softstuff Congrats on your "haul" at the outlet place, especially finding a bra :T I bought one at an M & S outlet a few months ago, a pretty shade of kingfisher blue, looked fine I thought, but after a while it occurred to me that my boobs looked too close together, and then a bit later I realised the underwiring was becoming quite uncomfortable, so although I have kept it for now (just because it's so pretty) I shall only wear it in an emergency, e.g. if I'd been ill and hadn't managed to wash the others!
Sorry haven't replied to anyone else, bit knackered! The wedding was very nice, but a journey which usually takes about 4 hours took seven on the way there due to roadworks. After three hours on the road we had travelled eighty-eight miles! We took a different route on the way back, it still took ages but was mostly rather less unpleasant.0 -
Heck of a journey that Ivyleaf, no wonder you're knackered. Glad you enjoyed the wedding though.
Your bra story is why I only buy one of a style at a time. Even bras professionally fitted and comfortable at the start have proven uncomfortable later. I bought mine because it was pretty too, and oddly enough blue, "storm" by the label.

Does this mean we have a rare pair of Blue Boobies on the thread? ............... I'm goingSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Well done on the shoes softstuff, I love a bargain! I got a pair of Clarks loafers when I was in Aberdeen reduced to £30 so pleased with them. Of course I did need them, they are navy blue!
Love M&S bras but whenever I buy one I like I go back for another and they don't have them anymore. I do like the minimiser bras best, the padded/t-shirt bras just make me look bigger.
DS2 and his GF go home today, he has had his flat on AirB&B whilst he has been away but judging by the texts and calls there may not be much flat left - chap asked how long you had to keep the gas ring on before you lit it, asked 'would 10 mins be long enough!'0 -
I just took to wearing Sloggi teeshirt top thingies, got mine in Jenners in Edinburgh -

Has everyone left home?
I come bursting in to catch up on the news and find everyone fixated on bras and other underwear items. Do I take it that Hester and Softstuff are being their usual salacious selves?
To me, underwear is either sexy or comfortable, seldom both. When I arrived here last year one of the first things my DIL and her friends decreed was that I was not going to wear any more 'old lady' clothes. (We used to call them 'AuntyMum' clothes.) To that end my comfy old bras were sneered at and replaced with underwired 'push'emup' jobs. My tablet insisted that should be 'undersized'. If only.
Anyway, these days it is bras that I can't forget I'm wearing, jeggings and tops that are longer at the back than the front. Very strange. However most of the time I'm in my much more 'me' CS bargains, so there.
I will now go back and catch up on what you have been up to in my absence.
Oh, by the way, I had a fabulous time with my DB and SIL. They are such good people to be with. I'm so lucky in my family.

"Usual salacious selves" :rotfl: I feel privileged to be bundled with Hester, but feel I have a ways to go before I'm at her level of salaciousness. I'm working on it.
Glad you had a nice time Monnagran.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
:hello: I'm here!
Not really feeling up to par at the moment...am reading but not posting much, as am in that "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything" sort of mood
Am keeping busy messing around in my "hobby room" with a few things for the upcoming festive season, keeping on top of the laundry & ironing, and cuddling the cat2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
