Must admit my bra-buying technique in the past has gone "Go to Marks & Sparks and buy several bras of the style I've decided on in 2 or 3 different sizes - eg 36C, 38C, 40C. Try them all on at home and then take back the ones in wrong sizes for a refund".
That will have to be changed to "When I pay return trips back to home area - make sure I buy new bras at the beginning of my trip - so I have time to take back the unwanted ones before I come back here".
Badly need new bras - as the 40C ones are well past their best and I have a new set of 38C bras that have been waiting to be "interim bras - en route back to 36C" for some time. I've been able to throw away 42C bras - thankfully. But I'm still 40C at the moment - so eking out those bras for much longer than I otherwise would......0 -
Tah dahh! I found a bra that fitted :j I'm usually a 38D these days, so I just found a few of those and tried them. Such a faff adjusting the straps though, as FPk said. I would have liked a t-shirt bra too but couldn't find one that was comfortable.
VJsmum - I did notice they seemed to have loads of 36C in stock, but as you say, not many 36B.
I was sort of thinking of getting a jumper as well, and on my way to the nearest lot of jumpers I spotted a very pretty blue in the near distance. "Ooh, I'd like a jumper that colour if they've got my size!" I thought.
Sadly, the pretty blue turned out to be another customer's jacketShe was quite amused though.
We're going away for a couple of nights tomorrow, to a family wedding, and I'm just too knackered to think about packing. It will have to wait until just before we go, but at least there's less time for anything to get creased, I suppose0 -
I'm knackered. Decided to try soaping today,,, I usually just do it at xmas now but last year was too tired to bother so I'm well out of practice. Soo my envisaged pale creamy yellow soap in Orange Blossom fragrance came out like neon-lit custard. And my pale delicate china blue soap in Lavender e/o came out a fabulously entrancing shade of filthy-washing-grey. Maybe a weeee bit of tweaking needed? :rotfl:0

Grey is the 'in' colour at present mar, it will go nicely with the neon custard - actually that sounds like a good name for a paint colour!
I've been at that driveway again, weeded and de-mossed and put a tin of the sealant down. Sadly I will need another 2 tins as the bricks are very porous. The other tins are ordered and I should be able to get them tomorrow, just hope it stays dry.0 -

I once tried on a pair of someone's shoes in TKmaxximus:rotfl:

That gave me a nice laugh VJsmum. My mother in law is fairly notorious for commenting on peoples nice clothes in such a way that they think she'll strip them naked and steal them!
Bras are my worst shopping experience. Boobs are too big, I'm broad backed and round shouldered, I also blister pretty easily and have scars from some. I stronglycontemplate making my own.camelot1001 wrote: »
How do you do all this manual work Softstuff? I aerated the grass yesterday (not a big bit of grass) with a garden fork and have 2 blisters!
The short answer is, not easily. I wear 2 pairs of gloves, a thin white cotton pair, then a heavy work pair. The cotton pair stop the seams of the heavy pair rubbing. Keeping hands well moisturised also helps (L'occitane shea butter). But after 3 or 4 days when I do blister I break out the compeed blister plasters and keep going. Today I've hit the wall, not from manual labour but because we've had more than a week of 5am starts. And I'm not a lark.
Mardatha, the grey sounds quite delightful. My bathroom is grey, black and white. The only colour in there will be lots of plants.
There's much progress here, by the end of next week we should be entirely tiled and hopefully I'll have done some plastering. It's looking very good, like a new house really. I'll do some photos eventually.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
So at 6am I'm sat on the sofa huddled under a blanket freezing my proverbials off. I'm doing this as the French doors are open so my doggy lodger can go in the garden and know he can get back in.
After a while there is a shout from my L&M 'Can you call this bloody dog he's stealing all the covers and it's cold with the doors open.'
Oops, doors now shut and the dog is now sat on my knee sharing my blanket with me.
I remember your soap Mar, it's beautiful.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
This lot isn't beautiful Hester lol.
Went to visit oldest son last night, his partner is the one with the horrible lung disease. She was over the road at her daughter's and he was in alone. He broke down, was actually in tears - and this is a tough biker who is head of a security team in a mall full of pubs and clubs. He says her illness is just getting to him and he can't stop thinking of the inevitable end. So we had a sad family cuddle with him but in the end what we can any of us about this? Nothing. Some people have really heavy burders in life, don't they.0 -
Sorry to hear of your Son's troubles Ma - so many struggling to keep going with serious illness. Shalln't say more as having a bah humbug day myself today, but sending warm thoughts over the ether to you all.0

So sorry to hear about your son Mar. WCS, hope you feel better soon.
Got to love that man of mine, last week after work for 3 days I took him to DD1's where he fitted laminate floor in her living room and hall. Yesterday I told him I was finding it hard to walk Winston the staffy as he is very strong and basically was taking me for a drag, so he has come with me every day to walk him. I was playing ball with Winston today and he caught the back of my hand, boy have I got a bruise, he didn't mean to do it and was very apologetic afterwards.
Today we went over and he planed all DD1's doors down so they close over the carpet she's had fitted upstairs. There were 7 doors he did all this with help from an 11 year old DGD, she really benefits from having a relationship with my L&M as she rarely sees her own dad and has no contact with her grandparents on either side.
Tomorrow we are going back to DD1's so my L&M can plumb in her DW and WM, both very necessary with all the children she has. We will be taking DGD 2, Suzy with us as DD2 and her tribe are off to LEGOLAND and Suzy is a bit too young to go on such a cold day so she will come with us and play with her twin cousins who are the same age.
When I told my L&M we'd been asked to have Suzy for the day tomorrow he said 'That's nice we haven't seen her for ages (about 2 weeks).
He is so good to my kids and does more to help them that their own father does.Chin up, Titus out.0
