Morning everyone. Can I join you in saying I resolve to post sometimes instead of just lurking?
And I'm another for the little end of the fence! Gotta be able to see over it. At almost, very nearly five foot (ish) I'll not even be the smallest yey.

Morning all.
Off to see the consultant today.Have had to revert back to crutches.
Never mind, when I get back I can just try and use my walking stick and hold onto this fence for a bit of balance and support.:rotfl:Not dim.....just living in soft focus

New thread... "Garden Fence" eh?
That would be a splinter group then? (Wooden fence = splinters geddit)?
Exits stage left to continue lurking behind the safety curtain :cool:Normal people worry me.0 -
I loved watching Dave Allen. I remember him saying about the popular bleach that kills all known germs......what about the germ that nobody knows about that is living off the stuff and getting ready to take over the world :rotfl:0

Exits stage left to continue lurking behind the safety curtain :cool:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Hello everyone
I'll need a short bit of fence please. I say I'm 5 foot 1 in the right light and with a following wind.
I'm so glad that Miss Stilty is getting her new wheels. I'm sure that it will be suitably customised to match her art loving nature
Pooky well done to your DM. I'm sure that she will continue to improve in leaps and bounds
I am here and reading along and I promise to do my best to post more often. My Black dog isn't growling as loudly and is starting to back off a bit thank goodness.
My 4 year old nephew is coming to stay the night for the first time tomorrow, so I have been going around the house and trying to toddler/young child proof it. As my boys are now 16 and 19 it has been a long time since I've had to worry about what is sitting on shelves and in drawers. We are going to see the dinosaurs at the local museum and I've dug out the train track, lego and the boy's old story books. I also have a scarf wearing toy dinosaur to keep him company. (I was knitting edging for a blanket and was told that the blanket was big enough. So DS2 suggested that the toy dinosaur needed a scarf to keep it warm. Hence the scarf.)
We have signed up for the T*sco delivery saver as it was half price and DH hates grocery shopping. I'm seeing a difference in the bills as the impulse purchases are way down. Although letting DH loose on the website leads to an increase in the amount of chocolate covered hobnobs that are brought. I'm also trying to use up the contents of the freezers as stuff seems to enter a black hole and stay in there for way too long. I'm sure there are some T-Rex steaks lurking in the back of one of the freezer drawers.
Time to do yet more laundry........take care everyone xxxx0 -
Hi,
Short fence for me too but hardly any bosom to hitch. These threads have helped a lot. Let's hope all our old friends join us. Liking Doveling's idea of the fence being balance and support.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to do a 'paleo' diet and be vegetarian?0 -
Thanks for the leg up softstuff, there seem to be a few of us here who are vertically challenged, I love the Garfield quote 'I'm not fat, I'm just short for my weight'.
I have a DGD staying tonight, we usually have one of the grandchildren to stay each weekend, but next weekend we're having a break. It takes a while to work though all the DGC's as there are 9 of them! Hopefully I'll be able to get some sewing done then as this weekend I have 'paid for sewing' to do, I've also made a few quid on Ebay selling stuff from my sewing room.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Afternoon all,
Thanks Nuatha for starting the new thread.
Another short and fat one here, so reckon that fence will need to be strong.

Evening fencers. After a very long stressful week at the paid stuff, the afternoon actually finished on a high with a couple of successes so I'm smiling. Possibly the fact I'm looking forward to the weekend too. Will be peering over the fence tomorrow, as in the garden planting seeds.Spend less now, work less later.0
