nursemaggie - have a really splendid birthday. Look at your situation now compared with a year ago, a new home which you are gradually sorting out, and a job for your DS! Plenty to celebrate!

Ivy leaf - sorry about your cat. Having two of them myself I understand the sadness.

Monnagran - ok, so sewing machine and knitting patterns have been arrested. Just possessions when all is said and done, you have a new life with your lovely family, and eventually you will be settled and sorted. And Spring is here, even though it is ruddy cold at times.

Ivyleaf: so sorry to hear that you lost your furry friend. As I've said before, some animals are much loved pets but just occasionally one comes along that is a large part of your heart and soul. When those die they leave a hole in your heart that nothing else quite fills. My last ginger soulmate left me 10 years ago and it still hurts. Until he arrived I had always had at least one ginger cat but I've not had one since. Apart from a beautiful and very naughty tortoiseshell I've never even had another cat.

MAR: There was a similar party at my house once. I was off to France for a couple of weeks and leaving DS1 aged 17 at home with a list of rules. On the way to the ferry someone realised that they had left some vital ticket or document behind. We turned round and scooted back home and heard the music as we turned into the road. Like you, we saw that every window was open and girls were hanging out of every space. The party had already started in flagrant disregard of rule number one. The girls must have been hiding behind trees and hedges and waiting for our car to draw out of the drive. I would have been SOOOO happy if their mothers had been in the kitchen drinking gin but no, the girls had been let out on their own. I left, hanging out of the car window screaming, "I said, NO PARTIES."

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY NURSEMAGGIE have a lovely day xxx

IVYLEAF I feel your sadness at losing your feline friend, they leave such a gap behind when they leave us and time helps but they are never entirely gone from our minds are they. We still can't sit in Dockys armchair, it just wouldn't be right!!! Hugs to you both and I love the idea of scattering kitties ashes in the favourite bits of the garden, you'll be able to see in your minds eye your friend curled up and sleeping in the sun wherever you put them, how comforting! xxx.

Called in yesterday and took me till now to catch up.

Kittie will have my candle lit for you and yours tonight.

Keeping busy, as ever, looking after hubby and grand-children takes up time so decided to start a fully fledged business  I make stuff so may as well sell it and make room. Also found out my friend has opened a woolshop locally and have been getting commissions off her.

    Burtha sending love x

Nurse Maggie have a lovely day xx

Happy Birthday Nursemaggie, hope you are having the best day.

burtha - You have shown great dignity during this horrid time, now you have to take the time to grieve and move on with life with your lovely family.

Sorry you haven't got all your belongings monna, perhaps they were held at customs!

Good luck to you Ginnyknit, always good to hear someone doing what they want to do.

Well, that's the summer term started, children and parents were fairly well behaved today which was a welcome change but there's so much to do!

Just watching the Hairy Bikers, I find them quite entertaining and not too 'cheffy'.

Happy birthday Nurse Maggie, hugs Burtha & Monna, sorry to hear about your cat Ivyleaf, hope the business goes well Ginnyknit.

I struggled to get a lot of my belongings from my ex and when he finally was forced by the court to return items or pay to replace them he found a novel way of continuing his spite.
I had a large collection of Lilliput Lane houses, he had taken the time to chip a small part off every single one of them! It must have taken him ages, I laughed so much when I realised.
    Chin up, Titus out.
