Please don't take offence anyone, but I thought discussion, putting forward your own point of view and exchanging of ideas is debating.
Or am I debating well.... debating! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I like trying to see things from other people's perspectives. Sometimes I manage it, sometimes I don't
That's life!Not dim.....just living in soft focus

The problem comes when the person debating is the person involved in the closure of the thread years ago, just using a different user name.
I'm all for that person or any person I don't particularly get along with posting on the thread but the debating of emotive issues on this thread sadly doesn't work.
There's alot of sadness, worry and frastrations on this thread. I just would like for the pondering of emotive issues that effect lives and are effecting lives cease on this thread.0 -
Well said FUDS, room for everyone but so much nicer if we are all getting along.
Scandifying the house had a little start today as I visited the blue and yellow emporium and got some aluminium planters for the window sill and a lovely little white silk daisy plant to go in one of them, I also got a reduced single bloom vase for 50p (wow) and a rotera cream lantern for the lounge in the evenings, they're the ones that take tea lights. We've got paint charts from B & Q and I think I'd like a very soft pearly grey as the main wall colour, very light in fact almost white and have plans for painting the very old ercol furniture we currently have in various shades of grey and getting some grey and white check covers for the 3 piece. I have some bits and pieces in red including A Dalahorse from Mora in Dalarna where they were originally made and some hearts in wood and some cowbells in red and soft grey so it shouldn't be too cold looking, just clean and relaxed. I'm so looking forward to getting it all done.0 -

Past experience says it's much nicer to keep the thread light and friendly, as in real life it's always nicer when everyone is happy isn't it? Previous threads have been unhappy because of heated debates in the past, the last incarnation of this one closed because of a heated one, I was involved as were some other posters and I'd hate it to happen again, I like you all and I'd miss you if either you or I didn't feel I could post.0

Enjoy it Lyn. Where did you rest your head when you were there?
The birdies are taking my wool ends on a daily basis now. I would so love to see some amongst a nest. Heart warming indeed
My rabbit dropping fertiliser is doing well but I am shocked at just how long it takes a dropping to breakdown when fully immersed in water. Still saving tea and egg shells for my garden too. Has anyone any other natural fertiliser ideas. I still dont have a compost bin or kitchen composter.0 -

That says you're feeding bunnykins the right diet lovey, if the pellets break down slowly the nutrients have longer in the soil which helps the growing things right through the season.
We stayed in a lovely little hotel in Gothenburg and got a room on the top floor so had a view over the main square and could watch life going on, it was like watching a living Lowrie painting, such fun. When we went on to the island that Grandma lived on we stayed in the biggest town which is a very small fishing port and so pretty. We were in a little guest house and the room was quite small but perfectly comfortable, nice and clean and right on the waters edge, open the patio doors and you were 4 feet from the inlet, beautiful place. Good breakfasts in both places and a decent sized supermarket close by in both places so we picnicked most of the time and ate right well!
Ne'mind MUMPS storms in very small teacups are best put behind us all, all well now, happy people again and onwards and upwards is much better than fathoming the past!0 -
There isn't an issue but people's plight are being turned into topics for pondering and debate. A visit to A&E ended up about inefficiency of the NHS and a reduced benefit issue was turned into a discussion with further pondering. I caught up on the thread yesterday concerned that there seemed to be little friendly support in favour of wider discussion.0
