I'm only about 20 miles from Glasgow but the sun hasn't made an appearance yet. At least it's not raining.

Debating can be very emotive, particularly if you are absolutely convinced that you are right and that's all FUDDLE meant that we sometimes get heated and put our point strongly and some contributors get a little uncomfortable with that, no need for anyone to stop posting or putting their point of view.

Well said Mrs L - sometimes we're not always as up to date with current legislation especially if we're not directly involved. Frequently what would seem common sense and logical doesn't happen in actuality either.
I think we need Monna for PM too

I'm in the south, just had to abandon the car due to a bad crash and walk a mile and a half to pick grandchildren up from school, then a mile and a half back, all up hill. I am feeling quite warm! I think it was having to rush as I was worried about how late I was going to be, silly me the school had it all sorted children being looked after till an adult arrived, pretty obviously really but when you panic...........

The thread has had it's ups and downs and I hold my hands up to being involved in some of the controversy over the years. This thread hasn't been a nice place to be, even going way back when I lurked.

I was in contact with the MSE team to bring this thread back at a time where debating contributers took it too far. It was closed and locked. The contributers lost a valuable resource. When it came back we were very keen to have it as a share and support thread and although there has been ugliness through it's second wind the thread has been a great comfort to many.

Lurking or not is a personal choice. Personally the more the merrier for me because the ideas and experiemces on here are just amazing. There are so many places on MSE to debate, please let it not be here.
