May I join you all again? I have missed the tough thread a great deal these past weeks but have needed a break. I won't be drawn into any negativity so rest assured I will continue to post about my OS ways and interact positively with like minded people on here.
I would like to say hello to Pops. It must be about a year since you last posted on the tough thread. I have been reading your blog a little through the year. You've been plodding along just fine huh?0 -
Friend did a Hopi ear candle tonight for me, seems to have helped quite a bit. Showers did nothing, pharmacist told me to stop cleaning out my ears!
Anyway, hopefully, by tomorrow the Hopi will have done it's stuff and I should be feeling better - thanks for the kind words and adviceCat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

I spent a good twenty minutes hanging out, nattering over a real garden fence this morning. The Collie took me for a walk and wound up dragging me over to the fence to see the woman in the garden. First time I've ever seen him standing paws up on the fence! He even made friends with cat who lived there.
I only have 18 inches of snow left on the back lawn. It's warm, well over 5C today but they are forecasting snow on the weekend. I really loathe that four letter word.
My sore shoulder isn't getting any better and now the dr is muttering rotator cuff injury at me. I like to think he's wrong as I've worked with too many nurses not much older than me, who have wound up leaving due to the injury.
I'm too young to be put out to pasture and collect disability pay But on the other hand I might be able to get a duty to accommodate line where there is no lifting.
I swear this last two weeks, it's been like every patient has wanted to hang onto my shoulder or expects to be lifted up off a stretcher. Come on people, you've had cataract surgery, how do you get up from a bed at home, that's how you get up from a stretcher.0 -

Read that out to hubby, since generally if I'm warned about something I'll end up having it happen.
Need to get the flat cleaned up today. A much bigger job than it sounds, with plaster dust, the odd paint bit and so forth. Really wish I had a hand with it, or at least someone to gee me on, but all hands are otherwise occupied.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Sofstuff, we are with you pass me some gloves and some bleach ,now where do we start
,you can do it ,break it down into 30 or 40 minutes bits ,then have a break and start again ,it will take time so only do what you can ....put some music on and make some noise ,cleaning as you dance and sing ,promise not to laugh at my singing :rotfl:

ivyleaf I don't know... McCulloch is pretty quick on her trike, been a good friend. Was watching a St Patrick's music show with her on Tuesday afternoon before nipping off for a comedy night seeing Count Arthur Strong. One of my better days. Actually Saturday night was exceptional a Brass Band concert with three of the best and the second half they appeared as one.
I could've done with a mobility scooter that day(not that I could've ridden to Durham and back)but getting between home and the bus stops at the start/end of the journey proved harder than I expected."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy.
