Nuatha, Deadly nightshade, I love it.
Monna, I think we'd make an indomitable pair, us against the world.
Don't think I've ever had the pleasure of a marine, meeting one I mean!
And as for wonky veg, they aren't available in my local Asda either, but I have no problem with wonky veg as my beloved has lots, the sort he grows I mean, lol.
I once went to a WI quilt group and got in to trouble, the teacher was telling us that the pattern meant the stitch in the ditch seams were spaced at nine inches but that nine inches wasn't sufficient. Everyone started to giggle & looked at me. I was asked to leave the room!Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Oh Hester. The shame of it! Expelled from the quilting class! That's even worse than getting detention. How did you ever live with yourself.
You are absolutely right, we would make a formidable team. I bet that we could rule the world given half a chance. Or at least this country. How about doing a job share as Prime Minister, I reckon I could struggle along on half his salary? What about you? And all our supportive friends on this thread would vote for us. Wouldn't you? WOULDN'T YOU ?
Don't worry. They love us really.

I had a text last night from DD1 to say that Pushycat was laying in wait on the top of the stairs hiding under 'sheet music' and jumping out at her feet every time she passed him, she'd just hung the laundry over the stair rail to dry so it should have been just sheet. The image I got of a very large cat under a small piece of paper 'hiding' is just too ridiculous. Made me giggle!!!
Something by Purrcell, no doubt? Or Catachurian?
(I'll get me coat....)One life - your life - live it!0 -
Fuddle - thanks for the link - it worked! Shame none of the Asda's near me are stocking them
Monna & Hester for job sharing PM's - love it. No politics just plain common sense that seems in very short supply across all parties. You've got my vote!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Love it NARGLE!!!0

Burtha what a horrible thing to happen and I hope the little scroat get his comeuppance asap.
Think the wonky veg box is a great idea but only 20 boxes per store and nothing in Scotland at all'!!!!!!!!
Hope everyone else survived the horrible weather without too much hardship xx0 -
Only 20 boxes per store? Then they will say no one wants them. That's like having a poll of 1 and saying 100% of those asked said.0

I'm not sure how a trial of 20 x 128 can be beneficial to anyone in measuring anything. The cynic in me says it's looking more and more like an exercise in recognising an uprising in the issue and trying to increase reputation that will increase footfall.
Personally I don't think they will bow out now and hopefully consumers will see lower packaged wonky veg sold at a fair price, enabling every party to sustain their interest in the product without the wastage.
There a swathes of people who will pay less for cracked stumpy carrots but the other parties in the chain are reluctant aren't they? Not as much money in 'em I guess.
If anyone manages to pick up a box let us know what you think. I do hope they will be full of fair and fresh and not produce thats ending shelf life. Oh cynical one toddle off!0
