    Is it really really bad of me to feel relieved that somewhere else is getting it, just for once? LOL - I know, I'm bad!! But we've had a constant conveyor belt of storms up here and I am grateful for the rest day!

    Ha ha, thought that was just me!!

    Seriously, I hope you are all ok, we have had a lovely mild day here with some sunshine and blue skies.

    MONNA'S BEEN INCINERATED:eek::eek::eek:

    Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego have nothing on our Monna :)

    Of course Monna corrupted me, I was an innocent little flower until she led me astray.

    Deadly nightshade is an innocent little flower?

    As long as you enjoyed being led :)

    Mardatha & Camelot - no it's not naughty to think that way at all. I for one feel quite guilty when I see the effects of multiple floodings in peoples homes further north and also when the Somerset levels were flooded. We are very lucky in this area as we don't often get hit with awful weather so as far as I am concerned I'll just have to ' suck it up' as DGD says!
    Just stay safe and warm everyone x
    Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

    Sorry, it may be an age thing, it was a song I head a lot in primary school, reinforced by a version sung by Louis Armstrong occasionally heard at home.
    I just presumed everybody would know the tale.
  • Interesting thing I have just found online, apparently Asda are starting a trial of 'WONKY VEG SUPER BOXES' for £3.50 at 128 selected stores which will weigh 5kg and provide enough mis-shapen veg for a family for a week. I am going to try to get one tomorrow and if you have a store that is part of the trial it would be worth a look as they will continue this if there is enough uptake. Wonderful stuff which will help us not waste what our farmers grow that is rejected by the supermarkets because it's not uniform (as though that had anything to do with how it tastes anyhow!). An all round winner IMO!!!

    Fab idea, but neither of the two big stores near me are doing it :(

    Don't even have an Asda near me nearest two buses away. I would prefer to buy what I want not what someone else thinks I may like.
