Hester, you disappoint me I thought it was you and me against the world. Talk about knifed in the back. Innocent little flower indeed, don't make me laugh.
I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon at the sewing group. We were largely in two groups, teacher's pets and those that sit at the back and have to stay behind after school. No, you have no idea which group I fell into. No you don't. Well, that was just a lucky guess wasn't it?
Actually I met a kindred spirit who greeted me with, "what sort of night did you have?" I explained that we were not too bad but that all our neighbours ridge tiles had blown off. "Yes," she said, "all through their conservatory and your barbeque I hear." My jaw dropped. How did she even know where i lived?
That's Island life for you. I swear that if you sneezed in Ryde someone in Freshwater would say, "bless you."
Anyway I taught my new friend how to crochet granny squares. She was suitably impressed. Well, she doesn't know yet that its all I can crochet. Then I admired some pincushions that some of the good ladies had made and was immediately given a pattern and instructions. I hope it's not homework or I can see detentions on the horizon. But all in all it was a good afternoon and I'm glad I made the effort.
I can't remember who said what as my tablet (may blessings rain down upon it,) doesn't have the reply box at the bottom of the thread but takes you to a new empty box and if I go back to read the thread again I will lose this post.
One good thing is that this empty box has smilies although when you click on them you just get words come up. However, when your post finally makes it on to the thread they all magically turn into emoticons again.

I'm glad you enjoyed your afternoon out Monna. I suspect you're soon going to find that you're very busy as new opportunities generate new friends who generate new opportunities.
I'm supposed to be going out again shortly, but really don't feel like dealing with the wind in the dark. Even if I go the long way round. But feel bad about how much money I've wasted with all my missed classes recently (as well as the lack of exercise). However, I could do some unpacking/tidying/work so that life feels a little bit more under control...0 -
Long, long post snatched from my grasp between clicking 'submit reply' and it arriving on the thread.
Pearls before swine. That's what it is.
Not that I count you dear things as 'swine'. Goodness me no. Although Hester may soon be reclassified. Innocent little flower indeed! You can tell that to the marines, and she probably has, whole companies of them.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:cool::D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:cool::cool::cool::cool::D:D:D:D

Mrs L - going to look in my Asda this week for wonky veg. I did have a look at their website but it doesn't say which stores are participating
DH took me to Wickham this afternoon for some meat - it was quiet so we ended up having a really good laugh & chat with the two butchers. Just made liver & onions for tea & DH said it was well worth the trip!
Glad you enjoyed the 'stitch & !!!!!' Monna - I'm one whose always in gigglers row at the backxx
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

Nor me, either at home or at work. Would only be of use when we've eaten everything from the allotment that is stashed in the freezer anyway!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
