So funny! I think your tablet has been sponsored by the red top rag industry monna. Maybe your tablet confused the Window for the Mirror
Camelot well done on your job!
All ok here. Supping camomile tea (can I put the leaves on my fruit bushes like ordinary tea?) but er, being a bit tight in using the same teabag twice. I'm stocked up on magnesium and got 180 codliver oil capsules free with my order. Im waiting for my order of Valerian so along with being mood and reaction self aware, hopefully I will have this issue of mine in hand in hand in the near future.
Stay safe and warm in the weather today.0 -
The damage in the sports bra is to a seam Monna - I think it may impact on the structural integrity!
Ivyleaf - two more cities, meetings in both over three days, then home.
Mrs LW - fingers crossed for Nell.
Guess I should get myself packed and then go and argue with the hotel about my bill and the idiotic way they are working out and crediting compensation for the damaged laundry...0 -
You made me laugh monna
she sounds a sweetie
Camelot congratulations on your new job
Hope your DD? gets the job too mrslurcherwalker
Thanks softstuff I think I will go for Mexican and tacos etc, my MIL can only have soft food so I just need to make sure there's a good selection she can eat too. I need to get it planned out today really.
Our puppy isn't right, we took her to the vet Saturday, but she was sick again this morning, she's just enjoyed some scrambled egg for lunch so not sure if we need to go back to the vet. Hard when they can't tell you what's wrong.
Hope everyone has a good day xxx0 -
Oh poor puppy *zippy*, I hope the scrambled egg stayed down _pale_
Rather windy today. My DD reminded me that it's the tail end of Jonas. On our way home this lunchtime we saw someone's food waste caddy being blown along a main road. I expect the owner (well, strictly speaking it belongs to the council, but YKWIM) will have to wait ages before they get a replacement.
Good luck Nell LW!0 -
Fuddle I hope the the camomile starts working for you.
I forgot to mention I tried a few herbal remedies for when I felt it was bad, things like rescue rememdy and kalms, the one that worked best for me was Passiflora. I mixed I think 10/20 drops with a little water and gulped it's not the nicest tasting stuff but to relax at night it worked well.
Greenbee, if you get a chance to wander around Stanley Park if the weather is ok, it's well worth a wander, DH and I saw purple and red starfish and Otters just ambling around not fussed at all by anyone's presence.0 -
Thanks Purple Kitten. I ran all the way round the seawall at Stanley Park on Saturday (it was further than I thought...).
Just finishing my packing, having discovered that the day manager has a brain... and getting ready for another 5 hours on a plane. Thankfully I managed to find a window seat as that's too long to be stuck in a middle seat in economy...0 -
Make sure you've got your wet weather gear handy when you land Greenbee. Thursdays forecast is the best but rain àll the other days. Fingers and everything else crossed for Nell MrsL.
Fuddle - you sound well stocked with alternative remedies so hope you find one that's right for you.
I've just thought of the line in Crocodile Dundee when he's told someone is in therapy and he asks ' hav'n't they got any mates?' That's how I view this thread - all mates rooting for each other against all the slings and arrows ( always did have a vivid imagination)
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
I would say congratulations on the new job Camelot, but it might be more accurate to say congratulations on your old job!
Zippy, I make a sort of cheap Mexican rice that'd be nice and soft for your MIL, rice, peppers, tin of chopped tomatoes, tin of kidney beans, garlic, cumin, paprika and chopped parsley. You can put in cooked chicken, chorizo, anything really. Good hot or cold and can be premade (just reheat very thoroughly ). Hope your puppy is ok xSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

Not heading home yet.... just back across the continent. Luckily north of the major snowfall, but there's a bit here (not that I saw much, it was dark when I landed). I'm hoping I have enough jet lag left to not oversleep tomorrow as I'm now back 3 hours closer to your time... and mostly I'm just tired rather than jet lagged! I need to go to bed soon, but have to wait for Monnagran to drop in first0 -
Well, here I am. A bit later than usual, I must have overslept.
Hope you're not too tired tomorrow/today greenbee. I find it's bad enough when our hour goes on or off,it takes me ages to catch up. What it must be like for folk who have to travel across time zones frequently i cant imagine. My bodyclock would go haywire.
Hope your weather is a bit gentler than we have,, it's blowing a hoodie and raining cats, dogs, elephants and giraffes here.. Ahhh, I see that the tablet police have taken over again and changed my 'l' to a 'd' in hoolie.
Now why couldn't it have done that the first time.
Hope you keep awake for your meeting. Surely they give you time to collect yourself?
