Fuddle - she deserves the tooth fairy to visit if she's still got milk teeth at 11! I think my name is self explanatory - OAP with white hair!!!
Love yours Monna - and DH has just spilt his tea Softstuff!! He's now wondering just what sort of forum this is ;)

I had teeth extracted at 45 and found a £1 under the pillow, I was smiling about it for days. Simple answer, no.
I got a rude note from the tooth fairy last year when I lost a crown. Something about fakes and not paying for teeth thant aren't properly looked after. As a result my tooth-cleaning is regularly supervised by small children who also carry out inspections (including in church on Christmas day...)

morning Monna. I'm just off to bed having done some urgent work and attempted to pack my suitcase ready for the morning. I really wish someone would pack for me - it gets harder every time I repack it!

Mrs LW sorry Nell didn't get further but she sounds a sensible kind of girl (after her mum perhaps?) and am sure will do well for herself in the future.
Softstuff glad I didn't have tea at the time of reading lol.
Monna having your nightly insomnia ritual eh? I'm working so that's my excuse/reason for being up at this hour.
My user name came from my favourite actor Michael Shanks and the number was what was available not as exciting as Softstuff first answer I'm afraid.
Mar hope you get back to being you soon
Hope everyone has a good day xx

  • Morning, my user name is because I did!!! p'raps I should change it to Cockerpoowalker but I think that would make the Dockling very cross and as he still spends a considerable time with me I hate to think of the consequences!!!

FUDDLE of course the tooth fairy still visits at 11, I'm tempted to ask her for 50p every time I get a filling, half price for only losing part of a tooth seems sense to me!

Thanks again for all your kindness to Nell, she really is OK about it and as the head has offered her some training courses at the schools expense she feels that she's gained more than she's lost. She's obviously a tiny bit disappointed not to be through to the final round of interviews but as she had decided NOT to apply and was talked into making the application by the head she doesn't feel badly done by bless her, she's as sound as they come.

    Floss That's really lovely :)

Shanks77 An actor called Michael Shanks didn't ring a bell, so I looked him up. Very nice indeed :D

nuatha How is your username pronounced? I'd always thought of you as "Noo-a-tha" but I suspect that's wrong. Maybe more like "NWA-da"?

Softstuff Yours always makes me think of "Mr Soft" from the Lurpak advert :D

My username is a bit daft really. My name is Viv, but the lady in the paper shop thought it was Ivy (she knew there was an i and a v in it!), so had me written as "Ivy" in the book where she noted people stopping/starting their papers because they were going away, and it "stuck" with her, she always called me Ivy. Plus it was the name of one of my aunties.

Around that time I was trying to choose a username, Ivy seemed a bit short, and I was browsing through a catalogue and came across a pretty pendant in the shape of an ivyleaf....

Much more recently, the lovely Pastures New was kind enough to take a photo of ivy leaves in her garden and post a link to it so that I could finally have an avatar! So sweet of her :)

Greenbee I could do with those teeth checkers in this house. 11 years and still going with the nagging of children to go clean their teeth! Problem being these days I get told 'if they go yellow I can just whiten them when I'm older' Bliddy media!! Of course this is me and I'm a tough auld goat who googles images of rotton teeth and the removal of said rotton teeth. :D;)

On the plus side the tooth fart came and smiles all round from eldest. Youngest has completed her keeping bedroom tidy chart so she will earn her pretty notebook reward when she comes in from school. I love reward and consequence. Nowt comes easy to my two so it annoys me when they still think there's an easy solution for lacklustre. I suppose I want them to learn consequence before they have to actually have to face any which is stupid too as we only really learn from the bad stuff don't we?
