Hope you don't mind but I will still call you mardatha as I can't be arrised to type out mynameisnotmardatha!
My user name.......when I joined I just dug around in the dim and dark recesses of my mind and tried to find something that was a bit off the wall. I wanted something mythological, surreal, whatever. I ended up with Nargleblast, sounding like the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster drink from Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy.
I happened to mention on one of the Debtfree Wannabe threads that I had a couple of chickens, and a very nice chap who used to post there (numptymonkey) came up with the fried egg avatar which tickled me so I adopted it.One life - your life - live it!0 -
Ah Hester, we would expect more than a PVC rose!
monna - don't encourage her!0 -
ncourage her? ENCOURAGE HER? I am shocked to the very core of my being at her goings on.
I'll have you know that it is my mission in life to save these degenerates from themselves, certainly not to encourage them.
Any impression that I may have given that I actually condone the outrageous behaviour indulged in by the certain person we have been discussing is quite inadvertent.
Any idea that I might be just the teeniest bit jealous should never cross your mind. No sir! I am horrified, appalled, disgusted, revolted, ........... (the Thesaurus burst into flames at this point).
This is positively my last word on the subject.
Goodnight.

Softstuff Yours always makes me think of "Mr Soft" from the Lurpak advert
Which resembles me more than I resemble a !!!!!! star! I remember the squishy man from the soft mint adverts... I could have been named after him too, I just don't recall.
Gotta go without much more comment, having aircon installed and the chap has arrivedSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Ok, so my house is under assault by about 8 tradies. A crack commando team of noise and mess makers. So I'm huddled in a corner like a cat in a thunderstorm! The only thing keeping me going is the thought of mitigating some of the bloody heat here, cos this is surely stressful.
I'm not worried about the survival of my veggie garden during the assault, the young lads were fascinated by it and wanted to know what all my herbs were, so they're tiptoeing down the side path.
As for Hester, reading her blog gives me hope that hubby and I will continue to be as "active" in another 20 yearsAfter all, there aren't many activities that are as much fun or as cheap and if they cut services at the library, I'll rely on it even more :rotfl:
