Good morning
I admire you doing all that work softstuff, next door to us has been paying to have theirs done and its cost thousands and not that good a job tbh. Ours is going to need some work in the summer, there's just too much muddy grass with 2 dogs, we're not gardeners so will need to learn as we go, I might have to pick your brains
I'm having this family birthday party Saturday and made no plans yet. You know when you offer to do something and then wish you hadn't! I want it to be a bit more healthy than my Christmas effort of bowls of junk food, I don't know if to just do a hot meal or a buffet with a theme, maybe Mexican? I've got too many options :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good Monday x0 -

Build your own fajitas? Or a build your own nachos table? Both great options that can be even better with jugs of margaritas.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

Just seen an article in the daily mail online about a frugal pensioner with a funky shed, named Ilona. Apparently one of the forumers, raise a hand if it's you, I love the shed (but have no idea what to do with reduced pease pudding).
Yes, soft, she is around on these boards! Unfortunately, the article didn't do her justice! She built that wonderful shed from old doors but it insinuated that she lived in it!! She is mad as a bag of frogs but I love her to bits!! She has a wonderful old dog called 'Rocky' that she takes for walks in a baby-buggy because he has poorly legs. She 'crafts' from all sorts of junk - remember the 'car wing' piece !! She also plans walking holidays, staying in hostels and walking miles each day! She is a wonderful example of British'ness.
She has a blog called 'Life after Money' - well worth a read.

Well, have been to see GP regarding blood test results.
Nuatha he changed me to slow release Metformin as soon as I asked for it. He wanted to know why my BG was all over the place and I explained some days I can't take the tabs because of the side effects.
He seemed more worried about my kidney test, and wondered whether I had been fighting an infection. Anyway I need to go for another blood test in a couple of weeks and then another one in a couple of months for the BG. I wish I had asked for the slow release ages ago, he told me I should have gone back to see them. I hadn't seen him before, but he was lovely.
Thank you for your encouragement

Hehe, I didn't think she lived in the shed. I loved the colour and resourcefulness of it. If we didn't have termites over here I'd like to build one too. I'll go looking for the blog now ta xSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

You're very welcome.
I hope they work as well for you as they have for me (I have some other major digestive issues at the moment - however the slow release don't aggravate this at all, whereas like you I couldn't take metformin some days due to side effects).0
