Fuddle I don't know what type of magnesium you take, but magnesium taurate is a good one for high bp. Good your GP chatted through all your options xxx

I'm guessing you have a lovely little granddaughter monna? Hope you had a lovely play date :)

Out pup is having her first proper trim tomorrow I'm feeling nervous as she had a puppy trim somewhere else before Christmas and it was awful. At least hair grows quickly :D unlike my youngest DD who came back from a college trip yesterday with a hideous tattoo

Just lost a post, most annoying! Anyway ........

I think you are taking the right approach fuddle, I hope you find something that works for you. I drink peppermint tea, no caffeine (it has a strange effect on me) and is quite refreshing.

monna, I think I led a sheltered childhood! We didn't make them at school and I can only assume that my Mum didn't like making them as I'm sure I would have had a go, she taught me to knit and sew. Only wish she had known how to crochet.

Tough times ahead for you burtha, I hope it isn't too awful. Stay strong and do what you want to do.

Had a haircut today and I feel so much better! Washing done and having a chilled evening - even treated myself to a G&T!

Morning.....she carols gaily. After 3 or 4 dark days when all I wanted to do was hide under the duvet and sob, today I wake up feeling good and positive and ready to face the world again. WHY? Yesterday I sat in my room all day and mourned. Today.....bring it on!

Zippy: I'd not heard of magnesium taurate for BP. I will pursue that, thank you. And, yes, I live with a delightful 3 yearold monster who thinks that her Monna does the best obstacle race round the living room ever. Not quite sure that her Mummy agrees as she surveys the wreckage of furniture and cushions.

Camelot. I missed out on crochet too I do a mean granny square, obviously because I'm a mean granny, but I look at a crochet pattern and wilt.

Hope you are still feeling positive burtha. I am thinking about you.

Well, the Sun is shining, (that pesky newspaper again), I have had my porridge and coffee so am heading for the shower and then LOOK OUT WORLD.

I have two dds over so once I hear movement I can cook breakfast and get the chance to spoil them a bit. I need to go shopping later for lamb, potatoes and veg for lunch tomorrow as all six of us will be here.

Glad you feel good this morning monna!

Yes, it's lovely to see sunshine.

Bit distracted atm as my brother is very ill in hospital in Germany. I'd like to go and see him, but I know quite well that if I arrive at the bedside he will think it's curtains, so to speak.

Glad you are feeling better today monnagran. Your dgd sounds like a bundle of joy and I'm sure she'll help you through.
We had sunshine early on but the clouds are coming over now. At least it's not raining!
Fuddle, have you looked at St John's wort? It's not for everyone, but it may help. Other than what has already been said, sometimes a long walk can be as good as anything.
    Take care all.x

Trying out the new forum look. Very confusing especially on the tablet.

Have no suggestions about your brother Ivyleaf, but sending love and hugs.

Reminds me of when my DD was 18, n had some silly chinese symbols tattoed on her shoulder, looking for a reaction from me.Having been a nose pierced punk it didn't phase me at all but my Mum gave her the reaction she wanted :rotfl: Oh to be young and rebellious again ;)
