Monnnnnnnnna? Your problems are very real. Collectively they consist of every emotion flaming well possible but I hear you when you say you want to move on. Oh, I hear you. Yip, in my ear right now. There's no mistaking that tone! I'm shushed. ;) x
  • Hi MONNA, rock and a hard place time pet, not nice at all.

Just a very random pondering on your behalf but would there be enough room in your current bedroom to turn it into a small studio apartment/bedsit to give you a comfy chair, a place for a TV and some books and perhaps a kettle and microwave maybe even a tiny fridge to give you the option to be a little self sufficient and feel like it IS your private space? A studio couch/futon would give you the option to unmake it and use it as a couch in the daytime, might make you feel less like you're barricaded in a bedroom from desperation and perhaps wouldn't cost too much to convert it either?

Feel for you love, hugs, Lyn xxx.

Monnagran - what you need in that room is some posters, neon eyeshadow and tons of new make up, a full length mirror and a hairbrush than looks like a mic. Then you can be 13 again. I'm seriously considering it.

Belated Christmas and New Year wishes to all. My interenet keeps playing up. I have been in better places emotionally(and financially)but compared to many I must count my blessings. Not complain. When I see what has been happening in recent weeks(floods)and hearing of the family get togethers that went wrong over Christmas...and much more.

I obviously have a lot to catch up on(I don't know if I will able to add anything that has not already been said but I do offer my support and wishes for those who need propping up.

If I lived nearby I'd offer tea and cake, TLC and a shoulder to lean on.

I so hope this year is kind and we can at least weather whatever is chucked our way. X

Hi Pops, Good to see your name appear. Sounds as if you and I could drape ourselves in sackcloth, rub in a few handful of ashes and moan softly to each other.
Mrs LW: I do have my TV in my room, and my rocking chair,my bed is an iron bedstead, very comfortable and one of the most familiar items of furniture I have so that is non-negotiable. Then I have two chests of drawers, a bedside cabinet, a coffee table and a small cabinet containing baskets and that is about it. It is quite cosy but no room for anything else. I have quite bit of stuff on the landing. The problem is that I want to shut myself away there.

Mar: I promise you that I don't, absolutely DO NOT, want a full length mirror, you sadist you. What are you trying to do to me. Having said that, I am quite prepared to give neon eyeshadow and loads of make up a go although I think Polyfilla is a better bet, - you know, "fills in crevices, makes worn surfaces new".

Anyway, my DIL has just got back from work and announced that she is going to take me out tomorrow. Bless her, she is desperate to help me.

Why am I talking about myself again? Switch me off somebody!

Still wondering how Nursemaggie Is getting on. I know she was not expecting to have her internet up and running immediately but I hope she realises that we are all urging her on from the side lines.

    x

  • Oh poppet, I'm sending you the biggest squishiest hug that I can possibly send, right now!!! Life WILL gradually be less horrid for you, it takes time to actually get your head round what has happened, let alone the why of it all. I so wish I could magic you straight to a happy place and give you a new and happy life, it WILL come, it will honestly and each day will be a tiny bit lighter and less desolate, the spring when it comes will lift your spirits and you'll start to live again, and I'll put up the bunting and we'll all sail virtual balloons of celebration with you when it does, Lyn xxx.
  • Lyn, that is so beautiful. Monna think of that and spring and have a lovely day with your DIL tomorrow, she obviously loves you very much
