Cornishchick - just hugs & know we are all thinking of you. Be gentle with yourself x
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

All of you with less than perfect feet, I've been given the name of a website called Cheerful Soles ( I have no connection whatsoever and am not recommending them) which I am going to give a try. They appear to have some shoes which look quite nice and can take orthotics, quite pricy though.

Have any of you tried them?

I prefer to wear dresses and, sadly, trainers or walking boots don't seem to lend themselves to the feminine look I aspire to :rotfl:

I haven't come across that company before, but have bookmarked the site, thanks!

However, I do have a pair of Mephisto sandals and they are wonderful. They weren't cheap but I'm so glad I bought them. Bliss.

Maggie Sorry about your cold - it must be really horrid waking to find you're sneezing into your mask :( I hope it doesn't last long.

CornishChick How lovely to see a post from you - we've missed you. Sorry things are so hard (((HUGS)))

I feel for you with gallstones-I suffered for over 2 years with them until I finally had them out.

    CC,

I'm so sorry to hear that you're struggling right now. With the things you've been through though it is no surprise you need time to rebuild yourself. No well is endless, and yours has had to be very generous indeed. I hope you can be extra kind to yourself. Some days just breathing takes tremendous effort and anything else is just extra. I hope you have some real life support as well, you will come out the other side of this and although not the same you will find a new normal.

    Big hugs.xx

In this new house I have a lot of rhubarb in the garden which seems to be growing very rapidly...I'm thinking rhubarb crumble today (recipes please?) and possibly rhubarb jam(the last jam I made was strawberry and it set solid so that you have to warm it up to get any out-tastes a bit like boiled sweets) if anyone has any easy recipes please?

Cc sending hugs and much love, hope the darkness leaves you soon. As for the gall bladder, the minute you wake up from the op (once you get it) you will feel re-vitalised.

Cool enough for a hot water bottle here  doesnt mother nature know its nearly May. Hubby is off to Dd's for the afternoon so will be able to run the vac round the bedrooms and make lots of noise :rotfl: Got some lamb neck in the slow cooker for a warming stew for tea.

Kidcat, Kezlou and Pooky are all running themselves ragged with family stuff with heavy loads on their shoulders but Im sure they will pop by soon and have a catch up. xxx
