yup I messed up but in doing so it exposed this fella for what he really isDave_Brooker wrote: »Someone selling a car?
no doubt a seller who trades in the same way as you do, no wonder your sticking up for him, relation perhaps?
if he hadn't done anything wrong would he have had so many of his listings removed?0 -
I entirely agree the guy should be banned from Ebay for the misleading listings and unlawful conditions and for trying to circumvent ebay fees by offers sales off ebay actually in his listing.
Phatbear you have just provided me with 30 minutes of sheer entertainment in reading this thread
cheers buddy

Well, I've just read through this thread and have to say that any complaint of mis-description is at best marginal.
0 previous owners is perfectly correct as this refers to registered owners and is taken to reflect how many people have used the vehicle.
2005? Well, ok, it is Dec 2004, but a month doesn't affect the useability/quality, but it could affect future value
New/As New tyres? Pretty much the same thing - New = 0 miles of usage, As new, maybe up to 2000 out of an expected 20,000?
On all these points I'd say the OP is on shaky ground. A much better reason not to buy is that it's done 90k miles in 2.5 years. That's over 3k per month.
On the withdrawal of a bid prior to the end of auction, and all the shenanigans over the withdrawn bid, I'd say the OP has a fair point. They notified prior to the end, there were still bids close to the price, and there isn't a case for making a "fee" charge for accepting the withdrawal.
Legally, the OP is completely in the clear, the Seller has virtually no power to enforce the sale. They seem to be a trader so lots of regs will apply. If they weren't, a request for full name and address details, would be needed, but they might have then accidentally been passed on to Inland Revenue.

"Dont mess with the bear"
LOL!
Dear Dave,
would you like me to provide you with a hole to hide in when you realise just how silly and far off the mark your post is? Here we have a seller mis-advertising his car, (read the posts, we counted 3 discrepancies from his description based on the photos alone, let alone the text), then trying to ask the bidder for £100 to quietly forget about the sale... then ebay kicks his listings off ... and you have the gall to say that the buyer and posters like me are stirring it up?
Good luck to you if you are naive enough not to realise what a scammer this seller was. Very good luck to you in fact.
Then again part of me thinks that you can't REALLY be that silly? Surely you are justing jesting??I never missed a payment :T , I paid off all my credit cards :T , I paid of all my loans :T , i have a work mobile :T - but am now "medium" credit risk
