But as he owns the car or is selling the car on behalf of somebody then it has 1 previous owner, the seller, as when you buy the car you will be the second owner. The car is not brand new from manufacturers so it has a previous owner.

My neighbour has a 15 year old car (and still mint it is too!). He owns it, but there have been no previous owners, so if you look anywhere to check the cars history, it will say '0 previous owners' as nobody has owned it prior to him.

Does that make sense now? :)

  • he changed the wording of the window listing so thats still on, the fridge is definitely gone.

its ebay removing them for sure as they appear as invalid item numbers now, if they were ended himself they would still appear with a small note near top saying item ended early

I see what you're saying, but to me (and obviously a lot of other people on here who commented) 0 previous owners implies nobody has owned the car and that you're buying it from a show room brand new:confused: If there has only been one owner, surely it should be advertised as "1 owner from new"?

you don't seem to understand the word "previous", if i purchased a car from new 10 years back and sold it now, it would be perfectly OK for me to state 0 previous owners, as that is correct, there are no owners prior to me!

I've not read the thread after the OP's intial posting.

The seller is probably rather annoyed about having their time wasted. Rightly or wrongly, that's how it appears. The bid should not have been placed unless the buyer was happy with the description and, ideally, saw the vehicle.

How often do we have posts on here moaning about late payers or people who pull out after the end?

Still, they could negotiate on the price.

FEW TINY BULLET DENTS & STONE CHIPS"
I think "bullet dents" is a descriptive term for the bigger dents that collect on the front edge of bonnets etc.

    I've had a look at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140140636933&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=004
and it doesn't look too bad to me.
90,000 miles in 3 years means 30,000 per year which is no bad thing. Young cars with high mileage are better than old low mileage cars. Probably ex company or fleet etc.

If I saw that and quite liked the car then I'd go and see it before placing an offer on it.

Tyres are no big deal; you can have a set of performance tyres fitted for £200, so just add £200 to the total cost and see if it's still a good deal.
    Happy chappy
